"Isn't this conspiracy to riot writ large? Waiting to confront a large mob that has violence in mind is the height of stupidity and dangerous to all involved. Which I think is what you have in mind. Tsk."
I'm sure the British felt that the colonists who eventually tired of their oppression considered the colonists who grouped to dissent "unruly mobs ........ common peasants incapable of understanding the sovereignty of the British Crown" ..... and their leaders ??? Traitors who should be hanged.
When Jefferson and his fellow "conspirators" first began to have discussions about the need for independence for the colonies, they met in taverns ....... where the ambient noise prevented their conversations from being heard .....
Had today's electronic gear been available at that time, our flag would likely be the Union Jack.
Quote:
"Anyone affiliated with that group should expect in a post-9/11 environment an excessively robust police response as a matter of fact that this is just the way our government now functions."
Probably what the British said post-Boston Tea Party .....
Exist for one reason only ....... to make the wheels of commerce turn smoothly ......
Firebrands of the colonies replaced by corporate sycophants ....
Obama ??? Better than McCain perhaps but not even a progressive ......... Bush is so bad and extreme, he just makes Obama look "revolutionary" ....... talk about the perspectives of relativism.
It must be painful living a life of fear.
These people sound just like the provocateurs the nazis used to post letters in newspapers, plant in crowds during speeches, etc.
I think they should be sent to Gitmo to see how their govt works and (as the Capt'n said in Cool Hand Luke), "get their mind right".
Before the creator .....
Yeh, this was common in the late 60's too. I lived in Chapel Hill, N.C. ...... the local police detective would knock on student's doors early in the morning (6:30). Answering the door half asleep, a warrant would be shoved in the face of whoever answered the door.
Several policemen would enter the house and throw a bag of grass behind a couch or chair and then be "found"
The prick who did this shit is now sheriff of the county ...... yeh, crime pays.
Want to ruin somebody? ......... just plant some drugs in their car.

"Concerned about living in a police state? GMAFB. Get used to it people. You chose it after all. You choose it every day through your inaction. You can become more shrill and whine as much as you want. Unless you actually do something about it, you are just waiting your turn."
Exactly right ....... the cliche that "the people get the govt they deserve" is true.
Nothing can happen in any country unless the people allow it to be so.
So, yes the problem is the american people and not the govt traitors who now run the govt for the benefit of the corporations.
Already conditioned from the time they are in public schools to be good little worker ants ...... and then consume, consume, consume, like a cancer cell, they, like a trained monkey know nothing else to do.
Use the drugs and distractions of television (from professional sports to reality shows to whatever), ipods, video games, etc to deepen the trance of their already asleep minds.
Then side with the corporations in destroying their economy (globalization ....... outsourcing, etc) putting them in a panic about their survival.
Eventually, the people become so concerned about maintaining their income, that they don't give a damn about anything else ......... and protest ???? , they might lose their job.
Primal fear is the primary motivator for unthinking animals and the govt has used they activities of a handful of terrorists to steal the country from its citzens.
Thus, the terrorists were successful in 9/11 ....... more successful than had they blown up and entire city.
And do you think you will ever know who was really behind 9/11 .... and/or acquiesced in the possibilities for its exploitation?
To be a truly independent real human being is to do what is right, no matter the costs.
Apparently, the american people still have it "too good" .....
perhaps when their stomachs are threatened they will move (only in self-interests ....... but they are too stupid to realize what their own self-interests are now) ........ over 250 congress members were fired in the election of 1933 .......maybe only a depression will bring any kind of change.
Only when their freedom is more important to them than their buying power will things change.
Just replace the royal families in the article with the corporations today who have replaced them ....
Note the always ready nature of the masses to acquiesce in letting those with power choose who will rule over them ....
There is a hopeless flaw in the species that directs them to place their own lives and interests in the hands of others ....
So much for Patrick Henry and the spirit of freedom (as opposed to the spirit of sheep) ....

Its that simple ....... put the blame where it belongs.
"This is very unfortunate."
Agreed, but still the american public have the responsibility to seek out the truth on their own.
They don't about anything but their own little lives ...... no sense of community or concern even though they spend their sunday mornings socializing in "churches".
Face it, threaten to take away their tv or SUV or big pickup truck and they will lick your balls and let you put an electronic tracking collar around their necks.
They lack dignity and honor.
Back in the USS, back in the USS, back in the USSR ....
Beatles
Americans are living in a fantasy world in a trance ........ tv, the internet, video games, etc have deepened the trance ........ its beyond belief that people can't see the reality around them.
I wish I could throw a switch and shut the whole electronic mess down for a month ......... people would be roaming the streets in a daze as they detoxed from the imaginary bullshit that has become their lives ........ then the reality of it all would hit them.
