If we had spent our money wisely over the last decade, we could have great schools, affordable colleges, fast efficient public transportation, national healthcare, etc, etc, etc and a social security system producing enough interest to require minimum imput ....

Things will not improve until rational planners with the interests of every citizen in mind lead the country and the vested interests of a few are not allowed to limit our choices, pride and sustainability .....

PS : There is no doubt in my mind that the bank managers in this country, had they been in China, would be in jail (at the least).

Medicare administration costs ....... less than 5%.

A single payer non-profit structure administered by the govt would immediately save 1/3 of health care costs.
