All of us contain within our DNA the capacity to kill millions or love millions ........darkness and light.

Still, it is our choice which we choose to serve.

No man has any real power except what is given to him/her by others ....... that is why people seek it ....... and not for others good first but their own.

And when the people withdraw their support, the power wanes and the "power" of the effected becomes hatred of those who have betrayed him/her.

We have no innate power ....... only the power to choose what powers we will let play out thru us.

2/3 of both houses of Congress is only one possible precondition for an Article V Convention .......

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

However, the state legislatures of ALL 50 states have already submitted over 607 applications to make amendments. Congress and the Supreme Court are violating the Constitution.

Here, its "money talks and nobody walks" ....

1) The duopoly (Rep and Dem Congress) has spent years creating as many barriers as possible to the viability of 3rd and/or multiple parties.

2) The National Guard was originally intended as a means to resist a corrupt federal govt/military. If the federal govt became too corrupt, the guards could march to Washington and overthrow the govt.

3) The american people sat by and let Bush "nationalize" the guard ...... removing them from under the authority of the individual state legislatures/governors.

4) As I have mentioned several times in Salon, the founding fathers provided a means to bypass corruption and/or inaction by any or all of the 3 branches of govt thru Article 5 of the Constitution.

The article provides that when 2/3's of the states ask for a convention (whose purpose would include amendments to the constitution), Congress is required to call for same.

Over 600 applications have been made by all 50 states and yet no Convention has been called.

This represents treason on the part of the Congress and is sufficient for rebellion itself.

5) What is the common element here ????? The american people are in a trance ...... so self-concerned that they apparently do not care what is being done by their govt.

In my opinion, they have it too good still ........ they have sold their ethics for goods.

When they can no longer afford all that "stuff" that they now "serve", perhaps they will turn to look at those who have "betrayed" them.

6)As far as changing the current system ......... methinks only rebellion will work ........ get those who produce nothing but make money from those who do ...... we won't miss them ...... like cockroaches, there are plenty more where they came from ...

Must learn to stick together and move together for their common good as their enemies are the same ..... the rich and the elite.

We've had one in the White House for 8 years.

Huge numbers of "middle americans" just lost large amounts of their savings and retirement accounts ...... now huge numbers of them are poised to lose their jobs.

Will will see how this group reacts as things get worse.

If Bush and company is pardoned, the people should head to washington and storm the bastille.

Tell your mom about Chamberlain and "peace at any price".

Tell her how the german people looked the other way and the whole nation was held responsible for what followed (not just the military or party officials ...... the german people in toto).

There is nothing to stop the rise of 3rd or even multiple parties if the american people come to realize we are living under a duopoly of 2 parties that both have the same vested interests.

We already know that the law does not apply equally to persons in the USA.

Corrupt businessmen can steal millions or billions and just get a fine if caught.

I can go to jail for stealing a hubcap.

Etc, etc, etc,

Refusal to pursue members of the Bush administration who have clealy broken laws will be a further reminder of this inequality and will breed more cynicism in the american people.

The real blockage here is that the courts and congress went along with the activities and thus are accomplices ...... they will not want to pursue convictions that will also indict them.

Till you get a confession that they are the terrorists.

Or better yet, just put hit contracts out on all of them.

Save lot of taxpayer money in the process.

Everybody drops their guard at some time.
