The only thing that bothers me is the hypocrisy ....... people cannot admit that they don't really care about anyone but themselves and they are going to take something just because they can.

99% of the people on the planet aren't even honest with themselves ...... how in the hell can you expect them to be honest with anybody else?

The mind has evolved as an instrument to serve desire within the individual and its ability to justify and deceive has no limits.

You cannot awaken the darkness within yourself unless you can see and admit to the darkness also.

But we always have our reasons (we just can't say to ourselves we can do it and so we can) ...... its "Manifest Destiny", or "they are subhuman" (Hitler about the Jews) or whatever.

But now I must go ...... you see, my neighbor has a nicer house than me ........ he has more "stuff" ...... so I have to make plans ...... for tonight I will sneak into their house and kill the father and children and rape the wife (before I kill her) and then steal their stuff. I want it ...... I deserve it ....

and it is the Will of Allah.

The US broke every treaty they made with native americans and still don't have the courage or the love of truth (read "balls") to admit it ...... in the govt's words, "that would create a legal precedent".

If we woke up tomorrow and the land once again belonged to the native americans, we would once again take it by force and kill anyone who resisted.

If the Israelis really want to emulate the "American Model", they will simply kill most of the palestinians and take their land ....... get rid of the "pagan savages".

We need working class Congressmen to represent the working class people of this country.

Kennedy's statements about her positions sound contrived and lukewarm ....... carefully worded constructs of what she believes the public wants to hear.

And her failure to vote, for whatever reason, creates questions about seeking a position whose occupant is decided by those who do vote.

And I like the vocabulary ........ long-winded speeches are for preaching to the choir .....

In 2002 and as late as 2004, the majority of the American people considered George Bush a hero of sorts.

Those who did not support the Iraq war were unpatriotic (and literally, in Cheney's words, traitors).

As in Vietnam, mounting resistance to the war only began as the public began to believe that the war was having a deleterious effect on their pocket books.

Don't expect this issue to generate any major concern from the American people ...... they are still mourning and grieving the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" that prevented them from engaging in another orgy of spending this holiday season.

Don't expect them to show the slightest interest in bringing members of the administration to justice thru the courts ..... to do so would be to engage in self-incrimination and self-judgment as the majority of them supported these bastards while the crimes were being committed.

That's just the way it is. You are surrounded by cretins.

The american indian, the educational system, child labor, environmental destruction, wall street criminals rewarded, ..... etc., etc., ....

Americans certainly have the character "stuff" required to serve as a beacon for the rest of the world in the areas of reason and ethics.

"Self-interest" run amok is the basis of planetary madness ...

Why not simply institute an "affirmative action" program for black politicians and public servants?

Until we start seeing people as simply people and looking beyond irrelevant criteria, we will continue to flounder and be the idiots of the world.

How about choosing people who are competent and ethical ???
