Unreal ..... Just Unreal ......

How far this country has sunk into a cesspool of criminality and amorality since Nixon's time.

Hell, he had to leave office on a threat of impeachment based on a simple office break-in and a few bad words on a Oval Office tape.

Look at what that sob Bush has done ....... he should have been impeached before his first term expired just on the basis of all his lies.

The whole thing is disheartening.

The govt has descended into the level of criminals ...... and that includes the Congress that supported bush every step of the way.

And what does it say about the american people who tolerate the lies and the criminality ...........where have their values gone and why should they believe anything the govt says about any issue?

Hitler and the Bush administration share the knowledge that the prime motivator for the masses is primal fear. When the mind is captured by fear, it cannot function rationally.

The american people need to take responsibility for their own lives or they will lose what they have left.

The system in broken and corrupt.

Follow the link to see just how bad it is.

See, I've had a hard time coming up with a reason that the 'opposition party' would be so hollow and spineless. Well, and so brazen and confident.

Both parties are feeding in the same trough of money from Wall Street and K Street.

Neither party will welcome or initiate change without being forced to do so.

So, if you're waiting for change to come from within ....... you're fooling yourself.

As an active blogger for over 3 years, I'd also agree change comes incrementally--but there still has to be an "enlightened' majority to do so-to give that final push-that final heave-ho to push standouts through the door..

That may be true in a real democracy or republic but we are neither ......

Do you really think change could have come incrementally for the colonists under King George ? Is so, why the need for a revolution ?

DNC Likes "Blue Dogs"

In NC we had a Republican Congressional position that was unchallenged.

A progressive businessman with sound ideas decided to run against him.

He traveled around the state meeting with and answering questions in a sincere caring manner.

He spent his own money and received some support.

But he was too "liberal" for the DNC (who had shown no signs of even providing a candidate to challenge the republican) and he was gay.

So the DNC recruited a candidate whose views sounded like they were read from a teleprompter and actually said nothing (just like Pelosi and Reid) and provided the candidate with large amounts of money from their coffers (the progressive candidate received no funds from them).

The democrats want no more change than the republicans ...... they both like the way things are .......arrogant twitts feeding from the trough of wall street and k street.

So, it seemed it went this way ..........Let the republican run unopposed ....... wait a minute, we have a gay progressive running as a democrat ....... we can't have that ....... quick go recruit (ie, pay) some "yes massah" democrat to run against the republican.

Americans Are Amoral Whores

Who won't do what's right if it cost them a dollar.

How can you expect anything good from such people ??

All Points Well Taken

Some overworked harried clerk at Walmart has neither the time nor means to decipher the legality of an ID.

Criminals don't obey laws and some hackers somewhere will provide phone service to them if the price is right.

One "legal" immigrant can buy phones for all his friends.

@Miette ....... the phone services and the govt are now one and the same ......

This is evidence of the Reich's uncompromising determination to remove every sliver of freedom and privacy that this country used to have.

The one party system we now have is now in the process of turning the country over to the control of the corporations ....... at least they used to make it appear that there was an independent autonomous structure called the govt to represent the people. Now they feel no shame in turning the country over publicly who always ran the govt and country behind curtains.

What Happens When We ......

View ourself as commodities ...... and no, no one can make you see yourself that way but you.

Somehow this calls into question the belief that we claim to have that people are intrinsically worthwhile ....

The American People .....

Are frightened sheep, scared of form and not substance .....scared of an electronic image or electronic recording of the voice of a real wolf ..... easily manipulated.

The problem is not from without ...... it is from within.

The problem is those who say they care for us.
