The Source of All Our Problems ....

Is and always has been the U.S. public themselves ....

First a review of some thoughts from Jefferson ..... unfortunately, human nature has changed little since 1776 and the quotes are thus relevant today.

____________________________________________________________-

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.

I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves without a master.

I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.

I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.

If the present Congress errs in too much talking, how can it be otherwise in a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour?

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question.

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.

The spirit of this country is totally adverse to a large military force.

he strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.

Why do people listen to Rush Limbaugh. Why do they worship celebrities ? Why are they interested in the "dirty laundry" of others ? Why do they pursue "consumerism" at the costs of their health, their lives and the "health" of the planet ? Why do they tolerate a govt owned and controlled by corporate oligopolies and monopolies ??? Etc, etc, etc

Whatever the state of a nation and culture ....... it has been brought about by a lack of ethics, reason and political action.

A willfully ignorant and uninvolved public will never be free and will invite corruption, destruction and suffering.

Fascism and the political use of language ....

Don't know if you have noticed, but for the last few years, anybody who protests against anything is called an "anarchist" by the main stream media.

"In this interview, originally published on Spiegel Online, A.I. head Irene Khan warns that the global economic crisis is leading Western governments to put the push for universal human rights on the back burner."

Based on the fact that the criminal bankers were bailed out against the wishes of the american people ........

And it is now obvious who owns the US govt, US citizens will have to fight for their own human/citizen rights before they worry about other countries.

"Tiller has blood on his hands" ....... and 100,000 more times that blood is on the hands of the Congress, the Bush administration and the american military.

O'Reilly needs to put a bible on his desk to complete the stage.

Christianity is losing its influence as it only knows how to condemn and hate ....... it offers no positive influence

All religions create a hive mentality ....... a loss of the individual to the collective ...... and to superstitious nonsense.

Anybody who wants an unwanted child to be born into this world is one sick MF ....... we already have too many mentally ill people who were abused as children.

And who is this sniveling little turd to insult the name of Mao?

You don't like abortion? ....... then the answer is simple ......... adopt all the unwanted children and raise them with love and provide for them ....... otherwise stay out of it.
