A LEAGUE OF THE FALLEN ONE?

If the "chosen" are above God's law, and all human laws, than perhaps they listen to the one described as:

“3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4

“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

“1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:1,2

“44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:44

“8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10

“Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

LOSING FAITH ALREADY?

I will take broken promises over breaking the national and international laws and relations.

Even the best intentioned politicians can not forsee the extent of political and social opposition, lack of funds, etc., that can limit or even stop what they intended to do.

What Mr. Obama wanted to achieve--- culture of greed and dishonesty back to civility; is trying to do--- using the level of enthusiasm and hope he generated to bring parties to the table; and the horrendous amount of problems and corruption he faces; is many times that for a typical candidates.

It is too soon to lose faith in a candidate that is still many times better than the alternatives--- he has no axe to grind, he has no hidden agendas, and he has an uplifting effect.

In contrast to the constant war, pain, death, destruction and fear mongering; all the while America was domestically burning; he is many times more honest. He may not be successful, achieve his promises, or he may have to resort to some political tricks of the trade--- we know he comes from a place of light rather than darkness.

DEFLECTING ATTENTION

Those I have spoken to, particularly married men, hold Mrs. Obama in high esteem. I have never seen such admiration pouring out of men before.

It has to do with a blend of practical, loving, family focus---she has shown during the immensly trying two years of campaigning and transition to a very different life in DC.

Her balanced loving support for her husband; her sterling personal achievements; her connection and focus on her daughter's routine and upbringing; her ability to shape what she faces to benefit her family, rather than put the family at risk, or on the back burner.

Most of all, she is comfortable with who she is; works with the choices in life; and stays strong.

No wonder the opposition is trying to find any ammunition to deflect attention from this great role model.

OMG! wu--have you not seen the oscars? Slum Dog Millionaire of India---well don't you get it? the larger global cultural context of the cartoon was-----Hindu God Hunuman!!

Hanuman is the monkey god, king of Hindustan and the patron saint of learning. World economy/stimulus bill--Ape/slum Dog-Indian mythology diety. Plox, the connection is so clear.

My BIF ( best Indian Friend) told me the Mahabharata says about Hanuman, "Thou art the mighty ape Hanuman..." What is all the fuss about this great animal?

Speak of Devil

An apt response to GOP's "The devil is in the details," would be, then "give the devil his due!"

Picture Perfect

It just occured to me, there is a perfect Hollywood movie ( a revisionist version a la Nixon/Frost)in this national tragedy:

Madoff/Republicans: everyone is innocent even when proven guilty!!

THE GATE KEEPERS

The only answer for the expected human greed of financial hitlers like Madoff, ponzi, and others that got away; and for the expected human weakness of the masses for myriad of reasons, is vigilant and honest government entities.

A million laws, with a billion ineffective (due to incompetence, corruption, fear, disloyalty etc) gatekeepers, does no good. Democratic and captilistic systems prosper or become a prey to treachery, tyrants, maniacs, (too many to list), with the discrete but highly vigilent honest duty of law makers, law interpreters and law enforcers. It is an ideal such a society has to constantly work towards.

When the law makers do their part the society is educated well and informed; when the interpreters do their part justice serves the individual and law serves the society, and when the law enforcers do their part, we wake up rested for the next day's service to our country.

Original article: Watching Republicans grieve

FDR opposed by his party

FDR was so severely opposed by his own party, it actually led to party division--- true democratic freedom of going against your own party President.

Republicans they have no individual choice or will. Party unity does not mean giving up one's consience.
