You're making a mistake referring to "faulty intelligence" leading to the Iraq war. It was a deliberate campaign of disinformation, no mistake involved.

National Journal's panel

Did anyone else notice this:

"...According to National Journal's recently convened "panel of Congressional and Political Insiders," Brooks is now the commentator who "who most help[s] to shape their own opinion or worldview..."

So the National Journal assumes that everyone in power gets their opinions from political commentators. Their poll is based on a hidden supposition that doesn't even allow the possibility that people would think for themselves.
