@tiberius...

I dunno why I bother...but this:

"Life would be easier if people would just accept that the U.S. military, administration and media are never telling the truth and are always lazy and stupid.

If only we could just accept what anyone on the other side of them is saying it would be great.

Today they said the terrorists in London were just amayuers so they must be highly trained killers.

When will you start reporting that the SUV in the Glasgow airport simply had trouble parallel parking and that Cheney was the person throwing gasoline around."

.......is a total non-sequiteur.

What exactly do you make of the FACT that our military managed to slaughter a bunch of guys who are on OUR side? Tell us that, would you? That *is* one of the points of Glenn's piece. What do you think of that, eh? Why do you think our military did such a stupid thing, and then lied about it? Hmmmm? Tiberius? What do you think?

And what do you think about the FACT that much of our MSM merely takes dictation from the military. You think that's a good idea? to just trust everything the military says about what it does? No questions? No scepticism? None? You think that's the right thing to do in a free society?

As for the rest of this gibberish, what is your point? Hmmm? We're all waiting.

I suppose it doesn't matter to you...but when you post a waterheaded screed like this is makes you sound just like a cranky 14-year-old. Surely you can do better. Do you enjoy embarrassing yourself so completely? I suppose you must. You do it often enough.

I'm curious....

...what are the chances that the GOP in Florida moved the primary deliberately to help Hillary win the Dem. nomination?

The GOP clearly believes Hillary is unelectable, and they have to be drooling in their laps at the thought of running their nominee against her.

I tend to think they're right: that Hillary cannot be elected president in this country, now or ever..not solely because she's a women..but because she's Hillary.

So, the GOP continues with the dirty tricks and the Dems continue to fall for them..

Time once again for...

...the immortal words of I. F. Stone:

"To be a good journalist, you need remember these three words only: all governments lie."

Sums it up nicely. Our current lapdog journalists would make Stone puke, without a doubt.

This contined crap from the New York Times really makes a person wonder: what in hell is going on over there? What's the temperature of the newsroom? Does everyone else there know Gordon is just taking dictation? How do they feel about it?

Be nice if you could talk to some of Gordon's colleagues, Glenn. Off the record, of course. I'll bet you'd get an earful...

And..how high up does this rot go? Are the editors and publisher of the paper on-board with this Middle East coverage too?

Original article: The one that got away

gibberish

Reading this kind of thing, I realize that for the last six years we have been subjected to a chief executive who routinely speaks on a 1st-grade level (for his Base, for himself, for whom, exactly?), and who, even at that, often sounds like a gibbering idiot.

What I wouldn't give for some clear, intelligent discourse from the President of the United States. Is that so much to ask? That our Chief Executive express himself like an intelligent adult? Even when the guy lies, which is quite often, he is incapable of doing it with any kind of grace. In fact, he lies in such a bald, crude way, it's as if he's daring people to challenge him. No-one does. Hardly ever, anyway.

If I'm going to be lied to, at least do it in a creative, witty way. Don't make it so abundantly clear that you're lying, and you don't care who knows it. It's bad form.

Used to be, those who select figureheads like Bush at least had the simple courtesy to select people who *appeared* to have a brain in their head. Not anymore. Now the sock-puppet quality of the Presidency is apparent.

I've always been willing to give Bush credit for a well-developed low-cunning... and maybe even more than that. But I'm really beginning to think the man is deranged.
