Sex isn't politics. I find it amusing this is the best example of "grilling" a democrat you could think of. Shows where your priorities are. Only your side would find peoples sex lives more important then actual problems that affect people's lives.

  • Can't happen soon enough!

Now if only he could take the people who voted for him with him!

  • Let's do to Bush what the republicans did to Clinton...

blame him for everything that goes wrong the next four years.

  • I'm sorry but he can't stay.

[Read the article: Blago's bold Burris move]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I don't know anything about Illinois politics or this Burris person but anyone associated with Blago has to go. Burris can plead with the state legislators if he wishes but Blago should have no say in Obama's replacement. Letting him pick it is basically saying that he stilll has power when he should not under the circumstances. At the very least the seat should remain vacant until Blago is impeached. Considering how much evidence is on tape, that shouldn't take long.

  • No wonder Blago picked this guy...

[Read the article: "I am the greatest"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He's just as arrogant and delusional as he is (who talks to themselves in the third person? "Jimmy goes down!").

  • Sorry, I don't think this family is relevant anymore...

[Read the article: Bristol Palin has a boy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I really do beleive in four years this woman will be off the radar and be replaced by another End Times "superstar" as the bases favorite know-nothing puppet. How many people in 1996 thought Bush junior would be the nomineee in 2000? She'll be doing the circuit at mega-churhces doing "inspirational speaking" about how her family survived the terrible assault from the left wing media during the campaign and how they cost her the election.

  • Not. Our. Problem.

[Read the article: Is Israel repeating mistakes of the past?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I wonder what all these "cut services to the poor to save tax money" conservatives would say if someone suggested we stop funding Israel. Our tax dollars are already funding one over-bloated, over-extended military (our own) why should we have to fund another countries as well? Seriously, for all the Israel defenders out there, why is this America's problem? What exactly are we getting out of this relationship that justifies the 9/11 attacks and all those embassy bombings in the nineties? The only things we seem to have gotten out of this are fatter, more powerful, televangelists. I think we can all agree that't not what we want.

  • I got some!

[Read the article: Tom the Dancing Bug]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The blood of an Iraq war defender cures cancer!

The spleen of a gay marriage opponent will cure baldness if worn as a hat!

The crushed bone marrow of a televangelist will cure pink eye!

And finally, the tongue of anyone who works for either talk radio or Fox News will give you immortality!

  • Because right wingers deserve it.

[Read the article: Red State Update: The year in review]

    That's the difference.

  • I owe him one

[Read the article: Former Sen. Pell dies]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I went to college on the Pell and couldn't have made it without him. Thank you sir!

  • It's Obama's party and he can pray if he wants to... pray if he wants to....

[Read the article: Atheists file suit to stop Warren invocation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I think Warren is a huge mistake for a couple reasons. The obvious one is he's a bigot and has no business being rewarded for it, which is what this essentially is. An honor and a priviledge being given to a man who probably didn't even vote for him in the first place. The other reason is becuase this doesn't change anyones mind about anything. The people who hated Obama before aren't magically going to come to their senses just because he has a guy slightly less hateful in public then other televangelists. Remember, Warren isn't trusted by the hardcore right either because he actually beleives that putting toxic chemicals into the atmosphere is a bad thing. In other words, they hate him becuase he deviates from the republican blueprint on one issue.

That having been said, Obama can invite whoever he wants to the inauguration. If he wanted Zulu witch doctors to perform a reading using goat innards that is his choice. I don't agree with his decision. If we are going to stick our middle fingers in the eyes of the religious right, we have to show that we are the ones who are the REAL respecters of equality. That means letting elected officials have prayer ceremonies at their inaugurations. Much as we may disagree.

If you are as offended by this as I am, the best thing to do is e-mail or call Mr. Obama's office and tell him what you think of Warren as his choice. And write to Warren, tell him what a bigot he really is and that he has no business being on that stage. I hate this as much as the atheists do but we have to prove to the rest ofhte country that we're the good guys.

Of course if someone wanted to put a picture of that lesbian that got raped in SF on his car with the words YOU CAUSED THIS scrawled on it, I wouldn't be opposed to that either!

  • I don't know why anyone is surprised by this...

[Read the article: Cornyn: Senate GOP won't let Dems seat Franken]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is the way all republicans are. Hold onto power by whatever means necessary. Even after the count is over they will still be wetting their diapers over it.

  • Conservatives never tell the truth.

[Read the article: Did you hear FDR prolonged the Great Depression?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Never. No matter what they say, just remember, they are lying. They are incapable of telling the truth. There are no such things as conservative christians because conservatives aren't capable of caring about other people. They would sell thier own children into slavery to make a buck. This is why they have no qualms about lying about FDR and the New Deal. They have no conscience and no souls. They will eat your children the first opportunity they get. Always remember that.

  • Conservatives want poor people to get sick and die.

That's the real reason they oppose universal healthcare. They hate other people and love to watch them suffer. Especially children. They love to watch poor children suffer and die.
