No compromise with bigots!

He may as well have the cast of the Lawrence Welk show sing "Let the Eagle Soar". Actually, even that wouldn't be as bad as this shit! Care ot guess who Warren voted for? I'm guessing it wasn't Obama. I voted for Obama because I was sick of religion being the basis for public policy. He better wake up and realize who his real friends are and it aint Warren. Let's just hope Warren leaves his swastika armband at home.

If I misrepresented your views I am sorry but whenever I hear the words "The Left" and "tolerance" I get my fur up. I live in a red state and have to hear all the time how "intolerant" we liberals are everytime we confront the right about their bigotry. Needless to say, I have adopted a scorched earth policy in regards to this kind of behavior. Yes, I want revenge and I make no apologies for that. So should everyone who got left out of "dubyas" America. Five years of getting called traitor and terrorist sympathizer creates some pretty deep wounds.

I just don't feel like the right is going to learn anything from this defeat if they don't actually get left out of the decision making process. This just sends the message that they still get to write the narrative. I have no interest in healing wounds, especially since the republicans have no intention of working with the Obama adminstration.

I still say no compromise

Sorry, but until the right has to actually lose something from this election, they aren't going to learn anything. This isn't exactly a step in that direction. Let's force THEM to compromise for a change. I personally would support cutting off all federal funding to the red states and force them to starve until they change their minds on gay marriage but that's probably not a platform you could get re-elected on.

NO COMPROMISE WITH BIGOTS!

First of all, we are all fully aware that Warren isn't the worst one out there. But so what? Just because he's smiling while he's comparing gays to pedophiles doesn't change the fact that he is still comparing gays to pedophiles. Second of all, Warren is a dubious figure even on the right (because he deviates from the republican line on one issue)which means this olive branch will probably go unnoticed. Third of all, and this is the big one, what is the point of winning an election if your going to invite the enemy over to celebrate? Yes, Obama will have to work with the bigot brigade eventually but at his inauguration?

Personally I'm for a scorched earth policy. Cut off all federal funding to the red states until they grow up. Needless to say, that would probably kill his chances for re-election.

NO COMPROMISE WITH BIGOTS!

They should demand their money back and so should anyone else who opposed prop. H8. If Warren is going to speak, they should at least make him wear his white sheet and hood and look like what he really is.

NO COMPROMISE WITH BIGOTS!

Obama needs to realize that no matter who he puts on the stage the right will hate him. As long as he "kills babies" but lets gays live he will be their enemy. Warren isn't even that trusted among the right largely because he is willing to meet with Obama and deviates from the republican party on one issue. So I'm not sure who exactly Obama thinks he is reaching out to. If Obama feels he needs to work with the enemy on certain issues, fine. That's how politics works. But the inauguration is supposed to be for the party. The right has to see that they've lost or they will never change. Inviting them to the party anyway doesn't accomplish that. It just says they still get to write the narrative. You would think the guy would at least let the people who actually voted for him have this one.

Saturday, December 20, 2008 04:02 PM

This guy does know he's on tape, right?

How exactly do you spin "all he's gonna give me for it is gratitude"? Even out of context there is no positive way to read that. Either this guy really does think the public is on his side (making him the democratic equivalent of Bush living in the bubble) or he intends to take people down with him unless he walks. "I'll release that photo I took with Obama the one time we were in the same room together!" Unless he has dirt that's even worse on those over his head, I don't see how he can wiggle out of this.

Of course there's always the possibility he's delusional as some have suggested. He actually thinks he has a shot at the presidency? He does know the republicans do actual background checks, right? If they found out Obama was on some obscure board with Willaim Aires and spinned it into a "realtionship" I'm sure his closet is pretty easy to clean out. No spinning necessary.

Don't worry about this Laural person. She is just trying to justify her hatred of gays by accusing us of doing to christians what she is doing to the gays. It is and old rebuplican tacitc. She knows she is wrong and is just making excuses for it. I have not read her post but I don't think it matters since all conservatives are the same anyway. Their all bigots.
