We should all be grateful for comments like these. Let them hang themselves.

And we should be even more grateful that the media has finally started paying attention. I can't help but think that if this had happened four or five years ago that no one outside of the Daily Show would have commented on it. It's past time that these bat-shit crazy comments got noticed by the general public. This kind of crap has slid under the radar for far too long.

I fail to see what was accomplished

Unless you actually sat down with these people and asked them why they voted for Captain Numbnuts, I don't really see what the point of the article was. Yes, their nice folk, fine. But so were many segregationists. Doesn't mean what they did was okay. I doubt you would have gotten as warm a welcoome if you had been an openly gay man or Micheal Moore. You passed for one of their own, nothing more.

Yes, we have to get passed the discourse in this country, but without acknowledging why it turned so bad in the first place, (unregulated talk radio, preachers on the GOP payroll) I don't see how that's going to happen. We need to set up a dialogue in this country where we actually confront each other. Sticking pecan pie in your face is designed to avoid such things. I'm surprised you didn't see that.

I think we need to go a step further...

Someone needs to ask Sarah Palin if she agrees with her views. That would be interesting to hear her response. I almost feel sorry for McCain getting dragged down by these crazies. Almost.

I had forgotten entirely about the Drudge report...

After the 2006 elections it kinda just fell off the face of the Earth. And it wasn't terribly relevant then either. I think it has, if not run into the ground, then at least peaked. Of course I don't watch much CNN or any of the other news channels so I really wouldn't know if they rely on this guy.

Now all we need is to see the decline of talk radio. At this rate, the only way that will happen is for their listeners to start dying off.

100% completely accurate.

Nothing more needs to be said.

Send this to every news outlet!

Mr. "niggra" alone should be enough to dissaude anyone from voting for this ticket! I hope McCain is proud of his base!

One good thing about this election...

the cons are showing their true faces! And it's finally starting to hurt!

They needed stupid costumes

That's why all those variety shows in the seventies did so well, they all had those god-awful costumes. They should have stripped down to a red, white, and blue Evel Kenevel looking number with a collar you could go hang-gliding with. That would have made it better.

Don't celebrate yet.

I could have sworn in 1998 that the culture war was dead after the whole Clinton impeachment debacle went belly up for the republicans. Two years later we get saddled with a know nothing man/child just because he said Jesus was his favorite philosopher. The public tends to have the memory span of goldfish and they don't learn long term lessons very well. Don't be too surpirsed if they put another stupid culture warrior on the ticket in four years and half the country falls for her (ahem, I think we all know who I'm talking about).

None of you Klan members who support Prop 8...

have been able to show how it affects anyone outside the gay community. The most you've been able to do is fall back on pointless symbolism about "tradition" (Jim Crow was tradiiton also, care to defend it as well?) and some horror story about some orphanages that chose to close down rather then following state laws (because y'know marriage and adoption are the same thing, idiot!).

The slippery slope argument easily falls apart under any kind of real scrutiny. Animals can't consent, age limits exist becuase it is too hard to tell when each individual is mature enough to do certian things (I can think of several 16 year olds that have no business behind the wheel), and unless you can point to someone who only has the ability to be attracted to members of the same family like gays only have the ability to be attracted to members of the same gender, that one falls apart pretty quickly too. Though even if a mother did want to marry her son, you haven't shown how that would be any of your business either.

As for the "hate crimes", given things like "Lawrence v. Texas", That idiot state senator in Tennessee that wanted to ban all books with gay characters or gay authors, and books like the "Pink Swastika" that accuses gays of working with the Nazis, you'll excuse me if I don't have any sympathy for you. You accuse gays of trying to recruit children and then want to run as far from responsibility as possible when a Matthew Shepard incident happens. You'll get no crocodile tears from me.

Oh, and Verses, Ron Paul is a libertarian. They don't think the government should be involved with marriage at all. Nice to see your willing to throw out your own professed beliefs the moment you just plain don't like something.

Perfect as always!

BTW: The fact that the republicans let that guy set up a booth and sell those stupid things in the first place (along with the pancake mix at that supposed "christian" convention) is proof that they know the majority of their supporters are closet racists. Can you imagine the outrage if somebody set up a booth to sell dolls of some redneck fucking his daughter at a democratic rally that had a McCain hat on it? Yet somehow this is acceptable.

I don't know why everyone is surprised by this...

This is the way all conservatives are. Expect a flood of these in December and January.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 03:05 PM

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY AMMO!

Consdering how desperate the McCain campaign is right now, they might just turn that into a campaign ad!

Of course everyone knows that when he was six he was building pipe bombs in his Madarassa to blow up Israel!

By Inaguration day?

How many songs can you write and record in less then a week? This guy will become a political joke next election cycle and hte media will be chastising themselves for ever taking him seriously.
