Even before he won in 1992 the right has absolutely been fixated on portraying this family as the devil! I have no sympathy for Hillary holdouts or PUMAS (cough! right wing troll organization! cough!) but even I give the actual Clintons more credit then trying to steal the show. I'm beginning to think this has absolutely nothing to do with Obama and the right is just hoping that they can get in one last shot at the Clintons before they ride away into the sunset. Are they hoping that the DNC will magically change it's mind and put her on the ticket at the last minute? If so, then the right really is as delusional as I thought.
Doesn't anyone think it's odd that in the nearly 20 years this family has been in the spotlight none of these Clinton obsessees has been able to give a clear answer to what it is they have a problem with? GQ had an article a few months back about a group of Hillary haters and even after sitting down and interviewing them the most they could get out of them was the same old "I can see into her soul and it's evil!" shit. Okay, so they hate "liberals" and democrats, but let's be honest, Bill was hardly the most liberal president. If anything he capitulated a hell of a lot more then he should. So what is this really about? Where is this irrational hatred coming from? What is it about this family that stirs up so many negative emotions?
Now we have drama among our own (though it's debatable how many are actual Clinton supporters and aren't just right wing plants trying to stir up trouble) because of the emotions this family stirs up. But at least I don't blame them for most of this (though Hillary still should have seen the train coming sooner then she did IMHO). I hate to say it but I kind of hope they go away just to be rid of the drama. Poor Chelsea better look out if she ever decides to follow in her parents shoes, she may be the next to be called the anti-christ. Though given that the right has never specified why they hate her folks so much, she may not be able to avoid the label no matter what she does.
Because we all know that democrats are known for our violent ways! Watch the idiot media actually treat this like a real story. BTW: To the right wing moron who said that Hillary is going to take over the convention, HER "SUPPORTERS" AREN'T REAL DEMOCRATS! The holdouts are trolls working for you! But then you guys bought the claims that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 so I guess it's too much to ask that you think beyond what's put in front of you.
Up next, even though the rumors about Obama being a secret muslim have long since been debunked, is there still a 1 in a million chance that it could still be true? More at 11.
"Should Mr. Obama fail in his race for the Presidency, only the most venal, most vile and most uninformed would blame Hillary."
Actually the real blame should fall at the feet of all you so-called Hillary supporters who claim to believe in all the same ideals she did yet threaten to vote for McCain or won't back the candidate that does also just becuase she lost. Mrs. Clinton understands the larger picture and has got on board with that understanding and to be quite blunt, she never asked you to hold out for her long after she herself quit the race. You all accuse us of a cult of personality but what do you call continuing to back a cnadidate that is no longer running? Especially one that has specifically asked you not to?
There is too much at stake to make this election just about one person. Hillary understands this, so why don't the rest of you? BTW: I never thought she would sabatoge the delgation becuase I knew better then to beleive the right wing noise machine. See, not all of us who didn't vote for Hillary see her as a she-devil. She has asked you to support Obama, if you truly care about this country and truly don't want four more years ofhte Bush Doctrine, then I don't see how you cna do anything less.
we're willing to leave him in the past where he belongs. I don't think it is because we are "too nice" or any bullshit like that, I just think that we want to put the Bush era behind us. And as someone else pointed out, he isn't running against Bush anyway.
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that everytime one of these women or child rape stories comes out it's always in a country that's our ally?!
Look, if you think that the government should be forcing your religion on everyone else then at least come claen about it. Stop pretending that you don't want the government interfering in people's lives. Arrest teenagers for having sex, make it legal to kill gays in the streets, build cars that are fueled by the burning of copies of Harry Potter and Origin of Species but at least admit that you want to run everyone's lives. Give us that much credit at least.
It means all those Hillary dead-enders will be voting republican since a female candidate is the only thing they care about.
"Palin's nomination could provide an intriguing test of identity politics versus issues"
The fact that there is such a fight proves just how stupid these PUMAS are! Policies are the only thing that matter, anybody who votes otherwise doesn't have the brains of a snail!
