First of all, Liberal radio? Where the hell do you live?
Second of all, last time I chekced, the sky didn't fall in either Massachussettes or Canada so your arguments against gay marriage have fallen apart (how many straight couples got a divorce as a result again?). So have your cliams of bringing democracy to the middle east by force (Iraq) along with the claims that letting the market fix everything (housing crisis) and cutting off federal funding to important programs (Katrina). Oh, and how's that abstinance only program working out? Oh, that's right, it's not! So far nothing you people have proposed has worked out the way you said it would. Well, I guess you can still pull evolution out of schools becuase it doesn't make you feel special about your place in the universe. Ha! Ha!
Third of all, It wasn't "liberals" that held the civil rights movement back, it was conervatives. The whole reason why the republicans have the south in the first place is becuase so many whites jumped ship from the democrats becuase they couldn't stand their white's only institutions being taken away from them. You must be so proud to have your victories born out of racism.
Fourth of all, I have no illusions about "winning" the south back. I think you hicks are too hateful for that to happen. That is why I proposed cutting the purse strings. Yes, the blue states pay more taxes and perhaps it is time to let them decide what happens to them. You mooch off the liberals you claim to despise so much so perhaps they should let you go. Why should that gay couple in San Fransisco help pay for the redneck that goes to church and listens to how horrible they are? Even a conservative wouldn't be dumb enough to stand for that.
Which brings me to my fifth point, yes, we do think you are stupid. Before coming here, I commented on a letter to my local paper that said Obama can't be president becuase he doesn't show his patriotism enough. Not becuase of his policies, not becuase of his experience, but because he doesn't have a flag pin or painted over a flag on his plane or whatever other stupid rumor you all are passing around the internet. If you care more about symbolism then you do actual problems, then yes, I have to question your intelligence. The rest of us had to suffer through eight years of failure and waste becuase some moron from Texas said Jesus was his favorite philiosopher. Your stupidity has consequences for people other then yourselves so we all have a stake in your decision making process.
Just like after the American Girl line started sponsering some organization that had some vague link to abortion, expect a bunch of losers with no jobs or lives who listen to James Dobson all day to start protesting outside Hallmark HQ.
"What is scary is to produce a marriage line and then November comes and it's recalled and we have thousands of dollars of inventory waiting,"
Yes, becuase that would be the WORST that would come of it! Acutally, as much as it may offend some of my liberal bretheren, perhaps the market really is the best way towards gay equality! If Hallmark can see the money tree growing, this could be a good sign for the future!
He may be better financed then his opponents but if the Israelis kicked him out in the nineties, why does he think they will put him back in now? And although someone else has pointed this out, I still think it's funny that all these people pushing for no compromise with the Palestinians don't actually have to live there! Especially rich televangelists from Texas! If I understand the bible correctly, it also says that Israel owns everything from where they are to pretty much Egypt. Funny how Hagee and company aren't advocating removing the arabs from Egypt! I guess if the country has a working military and good relations with the U.S. then all the sudden "God's Word" isn't quite as absolute!
