A debate between a creationist and an evolutionist:

Heres how it goes: The creationist says they don't beleive in evolution all the while presenting no evidence for their own belief. The evolutionist provides all sorts of evidence for evolution and the creationist comes up with all sorts of fancy and colorful excuses for dismissing it. Again, all the whlie still providing no proof for their own beleif. Continue the cycle endlessly with the creationist saying over and over agan, "well, you can't get something from nothing". Revealing of course that they never really understood evolution in the first place or they would know that it takes no position on the existance of a god. I've done this dance before and the only thng that changes are the excuses for dismissing evolution.

As much as I think this series is stupid and proves nothing, the author is right about one thing. Most people who accept the literal bible are just too damn lazy to do any kind of research about the thing they claim isn't true and don't beleive (and I'm willing to bet they didn't do much research on what they do beleive beyond accepting what their pastor told them at face value). This guy has the same fatal flaw in his "beleif" that all of these guys do: he accepts that the evidence contradicts the bible, but still can't present a good reason to beleive in the god it talks about. None of these guys have been able to reconcile the fact that they have no evidence of the god they beleive in. Call me a hater if you want, I'm not the one trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

The only thing more amusing then the people who are trying to fit the two together are the excuses the creationists use to not have to debate evolution. Whether you folks realize it or not, simply saying "Well the bible never changes, but science always does" doesn't prove your religion to be true. It is also apparent to me you may not have actually read the article or you would have seen that Darwin never intended for evolution to be seen as a social philosophy, so blaming it for the holocaust and the soviets doesn't really fly. Nice try though.

I actually do beleive there is a god. Not because I was raised with it or because of some touchy-feely bullshit but because I have had so many concidences in my life, that I have come to the conclusion that there must be some sort of supernatural force at work. No I can't prove it, but then I'm not the one trying to pull evolution out of the classroom either.

What, pray tell, does a non-belief, or a religion based on science, offer you in the way of peace?

The fact that I am not a gay bashing war monger like you is all the peace of mind I need! But the truth is that emotionalist bullshit like this has nothing to do with the genuine pursuit of truth.

Of course being the right wing coward you are, you will probably never read this.

I bet you could show this to a whole room full of conservatives and they still wouldn't get it...

Being a comic book nerd, I got it immediately!

Fox News could make the exact same thing today...

and nobody would notice!

We could sue YouTube for lying

From YouTubes own "veiwing history" menu:

"We respect your privacy, and do not share this information with anyone"

Any attempt to share viewing info with anyone could be liabel based solely on what YouTube itself has posted. I'm more disturbed they already know what I'm looking at. Last few times I've been there, I got "recomendations" based on my viewing history.

You can thank him for modern day gay bashing in politics

He basically started the practice in 1984. Look, I'm not going to revel in the mans death, but anybody who takes money from the tobacco lobby while condemning the "evils" of homosexuality speaks for themselves in the hypocrite department. If any right wingers try and honor him as some kind of "patriot", I will kindly point this out. I think that's really all anyone needs to do.

It would appear that gays are pretty viciously intolerant towards their opponents.

That's okay, their opponents are pretty viciously intolerant towards them. But of course since your probably a coward who won't come back, you'll never read this.

I love how Dick Cheney is among those being mooned!

Suck it, Bitches! Let's hope the rest of the country adjusts as easily!

What is these people's obsession with homosexuality?

"Under these terms, it seems, Christians really can "have it all." But only if others can't have any. As Herzog writes, this model of Christ-sanctioned bliss depends on "the construction of homosexuality as the disgusting opposite of heterosexuality."

Why does heterosexual marriage have to have any "enemies" at all? Why does everything these people do have to have some kind of big evil other? I'm beginning to think most of these preachers got into the ministry just to stave off their own gay urges with the way they seem obsessed with this issue. They seem so eager to turn EVERYTHING into an excuse to gay bash!

On another note, the whole taxpayer thing really pissed me off. That alone is reason enough to keep McSame out of office since he will no doubt continue the same failed policy.

"Nobrainiac" is right!

Most accurate description of Hannity ever! And of course an ALWAYS accurte description of the ever-clueless media who keep falling for it.

@jmcdsf

We "liberals" weren't he ones who decided to make gays the big evil other to christianity and hetrosexual marriage, christians did that all on thier own. The only reason you even have an opinion on gay marriage is becuase you bought into the myth that it is somehow any of your business in the first place. Don't blame us because we don't "get" you. It was your choice to stick your nose into other people's sex lives wher it didn't belong.
