I never liked the "Sopranos"

I never actually watched it. This man is a murderer, and he was glorified by being loved by millions of people. Here was a show that glorifies criminals and it's called brilliant and the greatest thing on TV. This angers me, but what angers me even more is I bet so many of the people who threw a hissy fit over the Janet Jackson fiasco a few years back are the same ones who loved this show.

This man was a criminal and deserved to die like the worthless piece of trash that he was. All the characters should have been killed off. Including his wife and kids, they knew he was a criminal and stayed with him anyway. They all deserve nothing but the death penalty. His wife and daughter deserved to get raped and he should have been forced to watch. Then the feds should have taken turns anally raping him. Then they should have taken a shotgun to his nutsack and left to die in a pool of his own blood.

Anyone who liked this show supports crime.

Does anyone really believe overturning Roe will get rid of abortion?

I would feel a lot more sympathy for the so-called "pro-life" movement if they:

1. actually cared about what happens to that child AFTER it was born by supporting universal healthcare programs for children.

and

2. didn't make up a bunch of bullshit lies like saying there is a connection between breast cancer and abortion.

I find their claims of a moral highground hard to swallow when they pull shit like that. Incidently, anyone who thinks that overturning Roe is going to make abortion go away might want to talk to some of the women of the Womens Lib movement of the sixties. These women had abortions all the time when it was illegal. If Roe is overturned abortion will still be with us, but I'm pretty sure the safety will go along with the legality.

Hey, Anon...

You sound pretty brave hiding behind that label! Let's see your name, coward! If your such an expert in abortion, then lets see your credentials. From what I hear, those so-called "Crisis Pregnancy Centers" only help the mother up until about the first year, then they are on their own. This of course does nothing to deal with the real problem of why these girls and women may not be prepared to deal with a child in the first place. This is why abortion is not black and white, no matter what your pay masters at "Focus on the Family" say!

Well, at least he understands what real problems are...

Never mind the millions of children without health coverage or the unnecessary war in Iraq, no, God doesn't care about those things, he only cares about sex!

It might not be such a bad thing that they went for the nostalgia look

Otherwise people would just say it was a movie version of Veronica Mars. The nostalgia gimmick actually makes it sound kind of interesting. (not that I would throw down money to see it in the theater, mind you) If you think people are comparing it to Veronica Mars now, just imagine the comparison if they made her contemporary!

But is Galactus in it?

Everyone associated with this film (including the reviewers apparently) seems to be tripping over themselves to keep a lid on whether or not it will show Galactus. I don't want to see it if he is not in it. What would be the point? Personally, (and I'm probably going to get beat up by a lot of traditionalists over this) I preferred the "Ultimate Galactus" version better then the original. It just seemed more terrifying to me.

Reading too much into a comic strip

People are reading waaaaaaaaaaay too much into this! Breathed is simply making fun of both sides, Period. I don't think he intended to turn this into a huge philosophical debate about the origins of the universe. I do disagree with him on one aspect though. The reason why these books are so popular it seems to me has less to do with lack of faith in God and more about a backlash to the religious right and religious extremism in general. I don't think these books would have done all that well ten years ago.

How is it our problem?

Why is what happens with the Israelis and Palestinians any of America's business in the first place? No one has been able to answer that one so far. We can argue about who is the bigger victim but should we? Is it really our problem to solve? We tried to help resolve some of their problems and all it got us for our efforts was 9/11. Why is it our job to fix this?
