So now Hillary supporters think they are owed something...

"Over 49% of voters selected Clinton. You can dismiss them, or you can accommodate them, but if you want to have a chance at winning the Presidency you had really better be a bit less dismissive of them."

Or heres a better idea, how about the Clinton supporters grow up and accept there is more at stake then her ego. McCain will continue the policies of George Bush, that is a fact. If Clinton supporters want to gain something from an Obama presidency they can gain the same thing the rest of us will: full knowledge that we will have more competent leadership then we do now. Obama isn't giving me anything for his support and I am not "entitiled" to anything in exchange for it. The attitude Clinton and her followers have is that they want something in exchange for backing their own damn party is petty and selfish.

You want to tallk about sexism? All right, let's talk about how the republicans pander to religious extremists who think a womans place is in the home. In the meantime, if you all are going to insist that sexism plays a role in why Hillary wasn't choosen either put up or shut up. Show us where it was used. So far, none of you have. While your at it, you can give the rest of us a reason why we shouldn't see her as some kind of selfish spoiler out for her own gain without any regard for the rest of the party.

I'm curious...

if the Clinton supporters think she bares ANY responsibility for her losses or are they chalking it all up to sexism? I'm also curious why they are willing to let the country go to McCain knowing he will, in all likelyhood, put Justices on the Supreme Court that will overturn "Roe". They have yet to address this issue. I am a striaght, white, male. I have nothing to lose if McCain wins. Women could get set back several decades if he does, however, and the willingness to overlook this is astounding. If many of us accuse you of choosing a woman for the sake of choosing a woman, this myopic stance is largely why. You know what is at stake yet your willing to throw it away for the sake of one woman. This is odd.

I voted for Obama over Hillary becuase he opposed the war she voted for. Tell me, is that sexist? Is that "white guilt?"

They turn the video camera's OFF for their more off the reservation sermons

No they don't, the media just refuses to pay attention to their side.

"Will Spidey ever gain that power? No. He'll fight an arch-villain in a mask any day of the week, but like most of the rest he's scared silly of sex and intimacy. Touche'?"

Spoken like a true outsider. Up until six months ago, Spidey was MARRIED(until a certain editor-in-chief decided he wanted to throw out continuity for his own selfish desires). If I recall correctly, that horse faced main character of your vapid TV show wasn't. Before you go around making fun of comics, you might want to actually learn about them first (BTW: Superman is also married).

To compare superheroes to that God awful show is an insult. Comics are accused of being childish but what do you call a bunch of women in their forties who whore around with younger men? Is that anymore of a wish fulfillment fantasy then falling into a nuclear reactor and getting superpowers? Tony Stark has a garage full of cars because he is a billionair industrialist. In the comics he got this way at such a young age becuase he was, in the words of Wile E. Coyote, a super-genius (and he's not that young, either). Different reality, different rules.

If I seem defensive, it is because I am sick and tired of comics being looked down upon while the supposed "sophisticated" entertainment isn't any more beleiveable.

Woos Hillary voters...

I know there is a lot of anger between the two camps, but I seriously hope none of them fall for this. There is too much at stake to be hard assed about.

"Why did he insist that Spidey be single?"

Because he just plain didn't like him married. Marvel is rather bad about letting editors do whatever they want (he also banned all smoking from the comics which isn't really a bad thing but it doesn't help the realism factor in a genre already under fire for not being believable). Spidey had been married for about 20 years and it was always a bone of contention among fans (so is Supermans but not as much as his origin is). Yes, it is all wish fulfillment and although I don't "get" SATC, I am willing to let those who like it have their fantasy.

Why should he have to give them anything?

These women are smart enough to know what is at stake, if they were willing to vote fora candidate because of her policies, why not one whose policies are identical? Unless of course policy is irrelevant and this really is about gender to them. In which case, who is the one really being sexist? If Obama has been sexist to Hillary, let's see it.
