Perhaps the Israel apologists would like to explain...

why what happens to that country is any of our business anyway. You can say that it is the best ally America has over there but the truth is, outside of oil, nothing in the middle east is any of our business in the first place. Which would mean that Israel isn't even our best ally, Saudi Arabia is. You can call me anti-semitic for asking this, but it wouldn't exactly answer my question, would it?

BTW: CUFI has nothing to offer the democrats, they would never vote for them in the first place.

It could be worse...

he could be a member of a party that uses gay bashing to get into power and then solicites a male cop for sex in a men's room!

I don't see why the base hates him so much...

he's obviously learned to play off their stupidity. Of course these are the same people who still believe that Saddam was behind 9/11, that Al-Queda has some sort of navy to actually get to the United States, and that no matter how small the town they live in, it will still be targetted for a terrorist attack.

Why don't they just go back to the kitchen...

If these women are just going to tell women they have to live to serve their man, then why don't they do us all a favor and lead by example. How hard is it to replace them? I hear John Gibson is now looking for a new gig now that his show went in the tiolet, if he can make fun of a dead man for playing a gay character, certainly he must have some hatred in there for women too.

BUT BUT BUT...

HE HAD SEX...OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE!!!! WHICH, AS WE ALL LEARNED FROM THE CLINTON SCANDAL, IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN POSSIBLY DO!!!...EVER!!...DUH!!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE?!!! HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE!!! THE BEST THING WE CAN DO TO SPARE THE CHILDREN IS TO HAVE THE MEDIA REPORT ON IT EVERY SINGLE DAY UNTIL HIS LIFE IS RUINED!!! THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM THE EVIL INFLUENCES OF SEX!!!

THAT'S WHY I'M GLAD THAT WE NOW HAVE A MORAL PRESIDENT IN OFFICE THAT IS FAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE, BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS!!!

If I want celebrity gossip, I'll watch the MSM...

Every other day, the TODAY show "reports" on who lost on American Idol the night before. One would assume that if people really wanted to know, they would already be watching the show. Meanwhile I could count on one hand the number of times they even said the word PNAC... that is, if I cut off all my fingers! You want to know the reason why celebrity gossip is dying? It's because it's no longer a specialized field. When even the "news" is reporting it, it stops being a novelty.

There is also the argument that perhaps our societies celebrity obsession is at least partially to blame for president dumbass winning twice. The idea that more people care about who wins on American Idol more then they do who wins the presidency wasn't born in a vacuum. Remember he was picked because he is the candidate you "want to have a beer with". Now those chickens are coming home to roost. Gee, maybe there are more important things in the world then what crazy shit Brittany did this week.

You REALLY don't know whose behind this? REALLY?

After eight years of Cheney I would think it would be a forgone conclusion by now. This is the way all republicans are, they have no conscience, no souls. Do and say whatever it takes to win, that's how their party works. The "investigation" will go nowhere precisely because it leads to the top, just like anyone involved with leaking the name of a CIA operative will be rounded up until they are discovered to be the presidents closest ally and then...well.. she wasn't really an operative anyway, she was just a secretary, right?

I think we all know who is really behind this and just like everything else this adminstration does, there will be no punishment because once again the media doesn't want to do it's job.

The problem is the messengers, not the message.

When the biggest critics of single motherhood are the same people who want to blame gays for all of societies problems (see Sally Kern and James Dobson) and are fighting any attempt at sex-ed or access to abortion, and in some cases contraceptives altogether, to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place, it's no wonder that women and young girls don't take them seriously. Is single motherhood bad for society? Yeah, it probably is. But would you listen to some bigot tell you how to live your life after going out of their way to attack people just for being differnt from them and denying you access to the information and services needed to prevent that child from coming about to begin with? No, you probably wouldn't.

I'm not surprised they decieved Myers...

that's how social conservatives work, they all preach "morality" until it gets in the way of their agenda, and then it goes out the window. Remember the breast cancer/abortion "link"?

It doesn't look to me like anyone learned anything.

If "everyone was to blame" in the fifties then who is to blame today? Video games are the new comic books and the argument could be swung both ways as to whether or not they are a bad influence. Remember the "Hot Coffee" hoopla a few years back in the Grand Theft Auto game? Remember the congressional hearings over Mortal Kombat? An outsider looking in could make the same argument today. So what has changed?

Parents always want an easy answer to the problems they have with their kids. 50 years ago a hack psychologist named Wertham gave it to them. Today it's video games or rap or Marilyn Manson or whatever else their pastor tells them put the devil in their kids and is responsible for school shootings. It doesn't help matters that things like comics and video games already have childish stigma attached.
