  • Correct me if I'm wrong...

[Read the article: Requiem for a right-wing dream]

but wasn't Romney considered the phony just a few short weeks ago when Fred and Tom and Duncan were still in the race? NOW he's the real deal? When did that happen? Either conservative voters have the memory spans of goldfish, or there really is no such thing as conservative "principles". And of course no speech from the party of "less government" is complete without a call to regulate private behavior! Which brings up an interesting point in and of itself...

Why don't Limbaugh and company push for Huckabee? After 15 years of pushing for a "culture war" they finally have someone who will take it seriously. So what do they do? They back the business man instead. What's it going to take to get the dittoheads to finally see that this thing is a species of fraud? Limbaugh could call dog shit chocolate ice cream and they would still eat it, that's how easily led these people are. Not that it matters, this time next week, Limbaugh will be talking about McCain like he was always the reincarntation of Ronald Reagan. Just like they will the next republican nominee, and the one after that, and the one after that...

  • White women are a problem...

because not enough of them are voting against this kind of shit! And niether is anyone else for that matter! What's it gonna take before the GOP alineates everybody who isn't a white, straight rich man? That's the only base they serve anyway.

  • Is Fox trying to make itself irrelevant?

[Read the article: Chris Wallace: Probing, hard-nosed journalist]

These people are just determined to kiss this guys ass all the way out the door aren't they? Now they won't even support their own parties nominee for president. They are aware he isn't popular anymore, right? They are aware even most conservatives have distanced themsleves from him right? They do have a calender don't they? They do know it isn't 2002 anymore right?

So I guess now their kissing Hillary's ass too? She seems like an educated woman, why would she fall for this like Bush did? Not that it matters, I don't think she'll win anyway. It'll be interesting to see where they are two years from now without complete access to the White House and no one to back.

  • God spoke to me too...

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]

he said a company that promotes "Conservative Values" on one channel and a girl who "just wants to have sex" on another is a hypocrite and all those who claim to think of him when they enter the voting booth should remember that!

Mary Carey, isn't she the porn star who turned republican? The hypocracy of that party just gets better and better!

  • This cartoon lies about conservatives!

[Read the article: This Modern World]

The very idea that the republicans would reject a neanderthal for their candidate is utterly ridiculous!

  • Way to do Fox News job for them!

[Read the article: In the military we trust]

This article had every liberal stereotype the right wing ever concocted, right down to the ever popular catch phrases "elitist" and "academia"! This article works from the assumption that every progressive has a problem with the military, exactly what the right wants to see. The truth is I have no opinion on the military other then that every country needs one of some sort.

I think our buggest complaint is how it's used, as a conquering force for big business such as with the war in Iraq. Or to prop up a double standard foriegn policy such as with Israel and Palestine or China and Cuba. Something that is hardly the military's fault. That is a huge difference then simply saying we have problem with it or, as this article suggests, believing we think that everyone who joins is some kind of knuckledragger!

The right wing isn't very smart as is, let's not make their job any easier.

  • Blame Talk Radio

[Read the article: Journalism's last line of defense]

OK, first of all, no one in the United States has any stake in what happens to the Israelis or Palestinians except religious zealots who are looking for the world to end THEIR way. Second of all, I disagree with your assertion that the blogosphere is the reason why ombudsmen are becoming less popular. I would say it's talk radio perpetuating the lie that there is a liberal bias. They've been doing it for over 20 years and papers are probably just sick of hearing the phony complaints of "bias" from people who never wanted it to be unbiased in the first place.

These people want everything to look like Fox News, I don't think they even believe the liberal bias lie themselves. You can't blame a paper for not wanting to deal with faux outrage.

  • @Aquarious

That was a right wing troll, you stupid fuck! You haven't read these Israeli posts very often have you? They show up all the time!

  • I blame Bush...

[Read the article: What the Huck?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Before Bush came along, whenever a republican cnadidate said God was on his side, he was simply playing to the stupidity of the GOP base, now we get the Current Occupant who actaully believed what he was saying when those words came out of his mouth and now every Jesus freak in the country thinks they can win any long shot election just by claiming to be doing "the Lords Work"!

  • Maybe that's the point....

    [Read the article: "Jumper"]

From what I understand, this movie's plot is a bit of a deviation from the books it's based on. I'm not sure how much never having read them, but if the filmakers took some creative liberties with some of the plot, then perhaps they were trying to say something about the "ugly American's" that need to be reigned in. You can't turn on the TV anymore without tripping over a show that's a metaphore for the Bush administration.
