Bush Lexicon
[Read the article: America's hungry? They're just suffering from "low food security"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So hunger is now "low food security". The estate tax is now "death tax"...and bullshit is now "bushit".

Joe.....
[Read the article: Bush: "Miserable failure" or "bitter disappointment"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What exactly did Bush do to "lead" the nation after the attack of 9/11? What exactly did Mr. Bush do to "lead" the nation after the worst corporate scandals? Who exactly is benefitting from this so called "fantastic" economic recovery? Yes, Bush brought down a tin horn dictator in Iraq, and at what cost to America? Get back to us won't you.

Hillary's Judgement
[Read the article: Clinton's Iraq questioner: Her answer was "cold and calculated"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary was politically brutalized by rabid wingnuts and their media minions the moment she became first lady. I don't blame her for being overly cautious and inauthentic at this point in her life. The very fact that she has succeeded in spite of the bullying and hate thrown her way is quite remarkable. What I don't get, is the fact that she and others claim they would not have voted for the war resolution if they had known what they know now. I'm not a beltway insider and I knew this war with Iraq was bull from the beginning. I also knew that Bush was as untrustworthy as they come. Why would anyone in Congress give him the ability to start a war. It's not Hillary's demeanor that worries me. It's her judgement.

Freak Show
[Read the article: Role-playing at the Interior Department]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How do they even begin to find these people? Is being an incompetent freak with certain fetishes a prerequisite to working in this administration?

CZAR
[Read the article: Cheney in charge]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Russian for scapegoat...

"Government can't put love in your heart"...
[Read the article: We hear there's a pill for that, too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...And if it's Gay love, we'll do everything in our power to make sure you're villified and made a second class citizen.

Smithsonian Relics
[Read the article: The return of Bullhorn Man]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Seriously. Where is his copy of "My Pet Goat"?

My Bet is on Hillary
[Read the article: Smearing Bill to get Hillary?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have never been a Hillary fan. But after watching the recent Democratic debate in Chicago, I have to say she looked....well Presidential. Given the fact there is a deep bench of Democratic candidates who are great candidates in their own right, Hillary seems to stand out, not because she's a woman, but because she is better. Whether you like her or not, she is a pro and one hell of a politician. If Hillary wins the nomination,(and I think she will) I look forward to the Republican smear campaign against her and Bill. Mark my words. Volumes will be written about how she destroys her opponents.

Dark Clouds
[Read the article: Leahy to Rove: It's not over]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yawn....Call me when the dark clouds over the Whitehouse produce lightning that strikes. Otherwise Leahy's forecast is nothing more than useless hot air.

"Only officer prosecuted"...
[Read the article: Heck of a Job: The Abu Ghraib Edition]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This adminstration circumvented the law and raised a private army through Blackwater USA to perform much of its dirty work in Iraq, including torture at Abu Ghraib without government oversight. The identities of these hired mercinaries are unknown.
No one should be surprised that the only officer prosecuted was esentially let off the hook due to an alledged legal miscue. A few low level grunts were convicted and that's where blind justice will stop. The all volunteer Army is nothing more than fodder and political cover for a more complex agenda.
The Pentagon, this Administration, and our Congressional leaders will never allow us to know the true depth of the deception being perpetrated on the American public. That's why impeachment is off the table. I believe the dark truth is much more dangerous to our elected representatives if it were known. They are afraid, as well they should be.

Still In Charge
[Read the article: The Republicans' Black Friday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Republican's Black Friday will have little downside as long as there is Bush Black Mail. This administration has been secretly tapping phones and emails for a while now. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out why Congressional Democrats and Republicans are caving in to this administration.

John Warner Retiring?
[Read the article: John Warner to retire from Senate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]John Warner, a war hawk recently came out against this Iraqi debacle and called for the re-deployment of some U.S. troops by year end. It was a broadside to the Bush administration. Just days later, he is announcing that he is stepping aside and not seeking re-election.
Senator Warner, agree with him or not, is no fool. Timing is everything in politics and his sequence of press conferences is telling. I do not believe his actions are the cliche "rats running from a sinking ship", nor the "I'm leaving to spend time with my family." The senate is his family.
Mr. Warner knows a thing or two about war mongering since he's been a willing participant and cheerleader in the Iraqi conquest and occupation. Perhaps the ill winds blowing from Washington to Tehran are more worrisome than some of us would like to believe, including Senator Warner.

Private Army
[Read the article: Blackwater or black hole?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When did it become OK to assemble a private army in the U.S. with no governmental oversight? I find it a little scary that we have a 100,000 man private army in operation with allegiance to God knows whom.

Saintzak
[Read the article: Greetings from Asbury Park]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Although I agree that most musicians have been rather silent, I think Pink's "Dear Mr. President" is a rather damning indictment of Mr. Bush. The fact that it is getting air-play at all is remarkable.

Why I think he may be serious.
[Read the article: It was a joke (we think)]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bush joked about how things would be easier under a dictatorship as long as he gets to be the dictator. The assembled press laughed dutifully at his joke. Since that time, his handlers have systematically worked to concentrate power in the presidency under the premise of a unitary executive.(New wording for "dictator"). When Mr. Bush makes jokes such as these, one laughs at one's peril. Fool me once....
