Hey! Right-Wing Loons!

1) Nobody is talking about "censoring" Fox News. They're free to continue spouting their lies and smears.

2) The mainstream news does not have a "liberal" bias. The fact that they sometime report stories that are favorable to liberals is not evidence of a "liberal" bias. It is, however, evidence that they come closer--a step or two--to reporting the truth than Fox does.

3) As Thomas Friedman said, "Suck on this." Let's hear you whine some more about what terrible victims you are of Big Bad Black Obama. It's quite enjoyable.

4) Salon, keep it up. Keep reporting the absolute insanity of the Right. Don't back down. Don't call lies "myths". Don't back away from reporting on how the loons ARE the base of the GOP now.

Remember, RWLoons, "reality has a liberal bias."

Left Behind

Fox News ratings are so extremely high because there is no other place for Conservatives to get the truth.

They might try reality.

Love it, love it, love it....

Blinders

“They’re a shameless bunch of lying, distorting, propagandists, which I respect,

The Right cannot conceive that any other mode exists aside from the one they work in (see "shameless bunch of lying, distorting propagandists"). Consequently, they attribute their own characteristics to those of the people who oppose them. It's why Glenn Beck thinks Obama is a racist; it's why so many of the Right think that Obama hates America--because they hate the America that Obama represents, an America of freedom and opportunity for all.

C'Mon

Which one isn't great, in its own way? Which one isn't memorable? The hats in Miller's Crossing. The dying private dick in Blood Simple. The murder of the wife in No Country. "Show the tattoo" in Raising Arizona. John Goodman in The Big Lebowski.

But my favorite? The one nobody has mentioned: The Hudsucker Proxy. Primo performances by so many in that cast. What a movie!

Original article: The St. Louis Limbaughs?

@Croker

Are you implying that the black race is athletically superior to the white race? Sounds pretty racist to me.

No, denying yourself a talent pool because of race is not only stupid, it's also racist. D'oh!

Second-To-Last Episode

I suggest you go back to the "Rome" episode and take a look at the bra that Ms. Jones was wearing the bedroom when Jon Hamm pushed her back on the bed. "Superstructure" is one term that comes to mind.

More than the Ferry

You might have mentioned Kansas.

Bloody Kansas.

Brown was deeply involved there, in acts that, even given the horror and absolute moral evil of slavery, cannot be countenanced or approved of.

Harper's Ferry had some moral standing to it. Bloody Kansas had none. The fact that Brown became a hero and a martyr speaks to the deep contradictions that did then and still now afflict the American psyche.

The Question in My Mind

The question in my mind is simple: if we lose the midterm elections to Republicans, how can we tell?

RL=KKK

Look, Limbaugh is a racist who doesn't quite have the guts (ironic, given the size of his stomach) to come out on his show and say it. He hates black people. He despises Hispanics. He hates women, too, just for icing on the cake.

Why on earth should a group of black players accede to his participation in their sport? It would be like having David Duke as an owner.

All that Limbaugh is missing is the hood. And that's probably because they don't make one in his size.

Yes, Rush Limbaugh is a big fat racist.

Another Measurement

Well, we know how long the GOP health care bill is--the one that addresses the death of 45,000 people by inadequate health care, the one that addresses the obscene profits and increasingly incompetent service delivered by insurance companies:

0 pages.

@Unlovely

Yep, poor people tend to do the most crime. And guess who's the poorest in the country? Anyone? Buehler?

And guess who poor criminals pick on. Who do they live next to? The rich? Sure. That's right. The guy who owns the 10 million dollar home lives right next to the poor people.

And what happens to poor people when they raise themselves to the middle class? Anyone? Well, guess what: they commit less crime.

So the cure for crime? Education? Nope. Jobs? Nope. Build more prisons, stiffen the laws, and never look back. That's the GOP-conservative prescription for it. Let 'em kill each other, and let God sort 'em out.

Of Course The Climate Is Not Changing

Just one look around should convince anyone with an open mind:

The snows on Kilimanjaro are just as they have always been.

The Arctic Ice Cap is not melting.

Polar bears are not attempting to deal with a warmer climate.

The vineyards of France have not moved north.

Heavy weather is not increasing.

Migration patterns are not changing.

Insects are not coming north earlier.

Glaciers are not retreating.

None of these things are happening, nor the myriad other "documented" truths by legions of scientists--they are all, all, in a grand conspiracy together to deceive you, because they know that an economy based on renewable energy sources will lead inevitably--inevitably--to a Marxist state, and make your stock in BP worthless to boot.

And besides, even if global warming were occurring, we didn't cause it. And even if we did, there's nothing we can do about it--we are helpless in the face of the nature, it says so right in the Bible, so it must be true.

That's a scientific fact, just like gravity or electricity, but not like evolution or global warming, which are not true, because if they were true it would disprove the Bible, which just can't happen.

Oh, and the earth is flat. And giants walked the earth in those days, along with the sons of God. These are scientific facts, too, because they appear on the Internet and in the Creation Museum, and the Bible says so.

And there were days before God created the Sun. And the Moon gives off its own light--it says so, right in Genesis.

All of these things are scientifically true and testable, just as global warming is not.
