It never ceases to amaze me...

Some people actually believe that the towers fell as the result of a controlled demolition, which only serves to highlight the lack of basic science education.

Quite sad, really.

I've read Rupert's "explanation" with great amusement...

Most of the conspiracy theorist community has abandoned the thermite/thermate claim long ago. The claims made by Rupert have been roundly debunked in several publications.

Youtube videos can indeed be convincing to uninitiates unfamiliar with explosive ordnance and/or structural engineering principles.

It's hardly surprising that "experts" making claims of controlled demolitions present their arguments to audiences of uninitiates and tend to avoid peer review by the relevent authoritative communities. Why is this?

Why do the vast majority of professional demolitionists *not* believe that the WTC was a controlled demolition?

It's quite simple, actually

To the uninitiate unfamiliar with thermite/thermate, things might appear as you say.

Care to address the question I posed? Why do the vast majority of professional demolitionists *not* believe that the towers fell as the result of a controlled demolition?
