Original article: Girls gone wild, again!

Role models?

Madonna is the paradigm for the behavior of B-L-P. Warren Beatty said that Madonna would be happy to live her entire life in front of a camera. These young girls seem to agree with her, and show no restraint in doing so.

I grew up with values learned at my parents knees, but growing up always involves testing limits, and I had my share of adventurous behavior, although not in the spotlight of the media. I believe that peer-groups have more influence during the teen years, than parents. So values better be in place by then. Kids ape the behavior of those that are in the spotlight. In my day it was Bogart's handling of a cigarette; today it is wearing underwear on the outside, if at all. But does it go much further than that? The USA is bombarded by sex (the good, the bad, and the ugly) by television advertising all day every day. I think this has a more deleterious effect than the behavior of a high-profile group in search of liver problems and STD's. They may even provide the cautionary tale to scare our pre-teen and teen-age wanna-bes.

Crotch shots and sex videos, pregnancies and one day engagements, followed by short-term marriages as practiced by media darlings of the present day don't seem to be causing the same behavior is the general population. But it sure makes money for the national media!

Original article: The dumbing down of the GOP

Religious Right Waiting for the Rapture

The core of the Religious Right is Evangelical and they are waiting for the Rapture. They think that having Sarah Palin in a position of real power will help bring it quickly. They may be right.
