I still believe that Loose Change is loonier, but this is a nice try. Eventually I think the right will be able to involve aliens, Atlanteans and possibly time travellers from the future in their search for the missing WMD's. It's no surprise to see Crazy Curt Weldon's involved in some way.

What Sowell does here, and what many of these people do, seems like a form of projection. I'm not a psychologist, but it seems that they take their own shortcomings and attribute them to the enemy du jour. That can be liberals, Mexicans, Islamists or whomever.

Moving past my jealousy of MoveOn... I have mixed feelings about the Betrayus thing. It seemed like blog posting snark and therefore somehow unworthy. On the other hand, it certainly got a lot of attention that it might not have otherwise received. It gave the rightwingers a target, but I'm not sure that's something they want to draw attention to anymore. Many people may be moving to where MoveOn is and the demonizing wearing thin. Besides, I'm sure whoever Brent's in bed with is a lot kinkier than MoveOn. He is a Republican. Right?

It's the only way! This Repub contest is just too close to call. Make it a pay-per-view with winner take all. That will help close the fund raising gap they have with the Dems as well. It doesn't, necessarily, have to be to the death. That would probably give the winner greater cachet with the 24%ers, though.

It really is a great day to see Howard go down as PM and lose his seat as well. I have to restrain my glee until Jan 2009 when we chuck out our own evil bastards. But, the journey of 1000 miles involves many steps.

Once the Dems win the White House and increase majorities in Congress they should treat the Repubs in the same condescending manner that the Bushies have used with the rest of the world.
