Liberals... Boooooo!
[Read the article: Rove's round table]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"This writer would never vote democratic just because of lunatics like permalink."
LOL, permalink refers to a direct html link to the poster's message, in case that you need to refer to it. The poster's name (or in your case lack of) is on the right. Which makes clear to me that the reason why you don't vote democrait ain't your fabricated discomfort when confronted with the truth, but the sheer lack of education (and I am refering to the academic kind) that the likes of you display over and over again.
The sheeple of morons like you who the GOP has convinced to vote against their own interests used to be fun to watch. It has, however, entered the realm of the absurd for the better part of this decade.

Rove was not the problem...
[Read the article: The collapse of Karl Rove]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The problem is the sorry state of the left in this country, for the past three decades the stench of near death has been oozing from the sick patient that is the left in this country. And this aroma has been picked by the pack of jackals that made up what passes for the right as represented by the GOP.
Rove knew this, and his supreme lack of scruples gave him an edge against the utterly incompetent Democratic political machine.
The exchange between some previous posters is telling. Rather than focus on the piss poor campaign that Gore ran against a complete and utter imbecile. The Democrats who have been too busy pandering to the center right for the better part of the past two decades, to the point that the last democratic president was inches to the right of Nixon on most of his policies, act all surprised when they find out that they have slowly but surely lost their liberal base.
Had the democrats displayed the same spine to frame Bush and Rove for what they are: two dangerous incompetent buffoons, as they showed trying to pin their piss poor electoral performance on an old fart... a much more positive outcome would be enjoyed by everyone in this country.
Ironically all the hand waving by some dems, who try to equate a vote for Nader to a vote for Bush, becomes irrelevant when the more obvious truth is reviewed: a vote for Gore was also a vote for Lieberman. So please my stemmed Democrats, try dancing your way out of that predicament. The sad truth is we can make a point after watching Lieberman going from handling the presidency to Bush to become one of his main enablers, that Nader was indeed right: there is/was no difference between the GOP and the Dems.
We are left with the choice of the virulent carcass of whatever Rove and his minions have mutated the GOP into -no small feat considering the degree of reactionary "petulantism" installed by Goldwater et al a generation before Rove. And the utterly incompetent Democrats who like a beaten wife are ashamed of their liberal base and try the best they can to emulate the GOP in a pathetic attempt to gain the right's approval.
Rove is not the problem, in fact in a sick and twisted way I admire the little prick. He smelled blood and he went for the jugular... I refuse to blame him for doing what is natura in an animal. And GOPers for the most part are that: political animals. As long as Democrats refuse to acknowledge that simple fact, and assume they are dealing with Teddy Roosevelt's GOP... we will continue to be on the same sliding slope to the shit pit of history.
As long as the left continues to behave like a pack of disoriented lambs they will continue to be proverbial lunch for the pack of hyenas that make up the neo conservative movement. It is only when the sheep realize that they too have teeth and that their numbers are orders of magnitude bigger that the predatorily vermin run for the hill.
Until that realization happens... the lower and middle classes will continue to provide the fodder. The sad part is that some of these pathetic souls go to the grinder with a big smile and a sense of pride. Jackasses indeed....
