Is it just me...

...or am I the only one who has noticed the conspicuous absence of our dear friend "Dim Bulb 2, the Undead" in this letters thread?

Wow... 6 pages, no trolls.

Wow!

Happy Days!

@Cocktailhag- Verily!

"... But I think Triscuits might be too "herbal" for the likes of Palin. She looks like a Ritz (those great recipes!) gal to me. The back of the box would be similarly unread, though.

---------------

The evidence is irrefutable. One of the most (in?)famous Ritz recipes was for "Mock Apple Pie," no doubt a fitting confection for that Female Impersonator who would be VP candidate.

Original article: Bill Kristol in a nutshell

@RBL Holy cow! What locality was THAT??

Please tell me that op-ed piece was published somewhere unexpected.

In any case, I am so happy to finally see more people connecting the GOP MO with Axis II Personality Disorders.

I agree that if you are non-violent, yet feel an overwhelming urge to choke the everliving shit out of someone, that someone probably has a PD.

I know I sound like a broken record, having posted similarly in the past, but I know from whence I speak. I am not a MH professional, but I had the unfortunate experience of being entangled with a textbook borderline for 20 years. I swear, everytime I read the froth of the reality-challenged, it feels like a cold gut-punch. It is exactly the same pathology, and it scares the crap out of me.

Please, learn more about PDs. They are everywhere, and are often some of the most alluring, attractive, charasmatic individuals you'll ever meet. Until they ensnare you. Knowledge will protect you against them, and also shed much light on how the current political climate evolved.

In Freshman Chemistry class...

...we used to call this "Drawing the Curve, then plotting your data."

Bugs Bunny said it best...

Hah hah hah! What a jerk! What a maroon! What a ta-rah-rah-boom-dee-ay!

However, Palin hit back and said: "I hope those protesters have the courage and honour to give veterans thanks for their right to protest."

Giving a whole new meaning to the "Goldberg Variations"

Thank you Glen

for reminding us that the Unexamined Life is not worth Living.

The Left, Liberalism, or whatever you care to call it, will reach true maturity as a movement as soon as we not only endure criticism, but enthusiastically endeavor to examine and criticize ourselves. This is what I like about Obama. He gets this.

I would like to add one more dimension to this. Now, more than ever, we must resist the urge to revel in Schadenfreud. The country is profoundly ill after years of RWA blowhards attempts to keep half of the population at the throats of the other half. An Obama victory must be accompanied by an earnest and honest effort to talk to our neighbors, and to NEVER gloat (in public, anyway! :)). Imagine if neighbors start talking again, in civil tones. This is radical stuff, and the idea of true unity will frighten the power structure to it's very core. I revel in that vision, and will get far more satisfaction from that than a transitory political realignment.

There is much work to do. Hopefully, this will be but the very beginning of a lengthy Spring Cleaning. I look forward to future columns from you as you add your voice to those who would help guide us to this great goal.

Original article: McCain loses again

@Virtue001

Nice nickname you have there.

I'd like to think I'm good in bed, but you know, if you have to SAY it...

What' with the 001? Should there be a decimal point before it?

(Virtue * .001)

I guess that would be a millivirtue?

Rant on.

Original article: Election by sound bite

Well, I don't know about the rest of you liberals...

But Zoltan is right.

McCain was my favorite Republican...

...and pubic lice is my favorite communicable disease.

Does anyone even bother reading berlet98's posts anymore?

I hate to tell you this, but if you really, really want any of us who are NOT GOP dead-enders to read your cut-and-paste jobs, you're going to have to do some actual work.

First, learn the fine art of the "tease." Your posts, as they exist now, reveal themselves within the first three words, making it easy to just scroll past. NEXT!

Next, (and this is the hard part) learn to paraphrase. I guess your soft-brained English teacher never bothered to call you on your use of Cliff Notes or purloined term-papers.

If nothing else, you can have a chuckle knowing that you might have suckered one of us into getting into one or two paragraphs, who will then let out a Homer Simpson, "Doh!" when we realize we've been had.

You should try it sometime.

On the other hand, not. Nobody cares at this point.

Original article: Turning Indiana blue

In Missouri...

..."Hoosier" is synonymous for "ignorant redneck."

Wouldn't it be nice if "Hoosier" could once again be a colorful name for a person hailing from Indiana, no matter where uttered?

Could it be that YouTube

has evolved into the LexisNexus for the masses?

In which, lying sacks of shit like Bachmann can no longer have their stupid remarks disappear into the aether?

I would, however, like to see more exposure. Let's keep hitting them on the head with their own words. Worked brilliantly against McSame with this gem:

Just click on the video in the middle of the page. We really need to see way more of this.
