CSPAN Candidate Coverage
[Read the article: The Clinton-Obama contest gets rougher]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You know, voters can always turn to CSPAN and see their coverage of campaign events, especially when Congress is not in session. They do an incredible job. I’ve been watching them for months. They have a great early morning show, “Washington Journal.” And their series “Road to the White House” plus “Campaign ’08 Coverage” are wonderful, often showing candidates full events. Voters do not have to rely on MSM and TV ads for candidate info. People should really latch on more to this gem on television. There website has a wealth of information about the candidates, videos to watch, etc. (campaignnetwork.org) and they are always updating their TV schedule on their website. This is really an American treasure and it sure is helping me to keep up with the candidates.

Clyburn on Charlie Rose on Monday Night
[Read the article: Sound and fury on the campaign trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]..... followed by a great panelist discussion. Clyburn's segment was riveting. What a fabulous man. Charlie Rose I am thinking will have the broadcast up on his site.

Clinton-Ferraro on Obama
[Read the article: Hillary's race against time]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As a counterpoint, WHY won't anyone say that Hillary is largely where she is because of her husband. HRC initially got elected to the Senate because of her husband. She has 6 years of elected experience. The rest of her "experience" is largely derivative. I am a white woman, age 58, who is an Obama supporter.

What Hillary Left Out of Her Speech
[Read the article: Clinton endorses Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]EXCERPTS FROM: "In Bowing Out, 7 Things Hillary Clinton Must Say to Meet the Standards Set by Hilary Rosen" * Huffington Post * Paul Abrams * 6/1/08
1. She was treated fairly. This is the key message she needs to convey and do it convincingly.
[Obama won fair and square.]
2. Her own mistakes in a close election led to her losing.
4. She believes the campaign showed that women can achieve anything, and that she was gratified that there was no pushback against the idea that a woman can be as good, or better, a Commander-in-Chief as a man ..... She should repeat that John McCain promises, swears, to change the Supreme Court to nullify all the gains women have made, and that it would be a travesty if people sat home, or were unenthusiastic, just because she did not quite make the delegate majority.
5. She recognizes the rules the DNC adopted, many with her own people agreeing, made the outcome cloudy, but that she would not have won even if the delegates had been seated as she wanted.

World Views Through Vietnam Prism
[Read the article: Slamming Wesley Clark]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't understand why Clark does not emphasize his Sunday comments that came at the end of the interview and that the media has ignored, and that is that McCain has too much of a "militaristic and mechanistic" approach to foreign policy, that McCain's world view is all through the prism of his Vietnam experience, and that McCain's Vietnam experience, while highly courageous, was isolating when compared with other Congressional Vietnam vets, e.g., Hagel, Webb, who have a very different world view. McCain is still fighting Vietnam and he is too binary in his thinking. To some degree his Vietnam experience has hobbled his thinking today. He was simply locked away from 6 years of American life, a very critical time, and he has no visceral experience of it.
