  • nail on the head

[Read the article: Deconstructing Tim Russert vs. the Clintons]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Russert

Tim Russert is a biased maggot. Please stop pretending the man is a journalist. The questions in the debate were overly focussed on playing gotcha with Hillary. It wasn't the subjects they covered--obviously, anything's a step up you've already asked about them all to give a little Bible lesson--but the tone of the debate was rancid.

Also, I haven't heard any discussion of precedents in this matter. I'm a little confused why the public should even be given the first lady's private correspondence with the president. (Why does anyone but Matt Drudge give a shit about this?) But when were Nancy Reagan's papers released? How long did George HW Bush keep his out of view? Has somebody done any digging on this?

Something tells me another long national nightmare is forthcoming...

    -- Thelma Ritter

you hit the nail on the head Thelma - they never asked Bush in 2000 to release his Fathers nor his own in 2004. It's called being hypocrites.

  • unlike in junior high

[Read the article: Mike Huckabee, on a wing and a prayer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Unlike in junior high, it's often a good sign in presidential politics when people say nasty things about you. It means you are threatening. It means others fear you. It means you might just win something. "

no wonder Hillary is taking so many hits from both sides.

  • keep on whining

[Read the article: Ron Paul distortions and smears]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Some of what Paul stands for is great -- but on other issues not so much which is why I won't vote for him.

Now, Paul aside and onto your continuous whining and smearing of Clinton. Obviously you don't like her nor have too. Yes she voted for the war and Paul didn't. Your golden boy Obama whom you love singing praises about didn't either --- yet he voted to fund it. As well as bomb Iran if they were nuclear capable instead of diplomacy .

As much as Clinton pays lip service is as much as Obama. Paul at least sticks to his convictions.

I'll stick with Edwards . Probably end up voting for Clinton since that's better than Guliani.

But for God's sake -- start whining about someone other Than Clinton for at least a minute -- your looking as bad as a neo con. Give it a rest why don't you ?

  • Remember when .............

[Read the article: On the fake campaign trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bushco got caught rehearsing with the military questions on camera ????

lmao oh my sides ached from laughing.

they all do it - Bush , Clinton , Obama , ect..............

but I still think Bush did it the best !!!!

and the Saturday Night Live skit about it was pure gold !!

The sad thing is you can't find the video of that skit anymore - like alot of Bush comic takes . they seem to disappear.

  • You-know-who aka

[Read the article: When is a military dictator a freedom fighter?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Everytime I chat with friends overseas, I have to apologize for You-Know-Who. And don't get me wrong, by not using his name I'm not afraid of him, I just don't think he deserves the respect of being called by an actual name.

    -- SeanBlader

lol. I've just taken to calling him the moron on the hill and his delusional 30 percenters when needing to refer to the brown nosers.

  • just a thought

[Read the article: Did Bush ask Scott McClellan to lie -- or didn't he?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If there is a possibility Bush could be brought up on treason charges and it were to look as though he wasn't going to be able to weasle out of it ........... How fast do you think he'd be blaming everyone else ?

I can hear it now " It was Turd Blossom. yep Rove started it. Cheney. Dick threatened me with his hunting rifle. Said he and I was going 'hunting' on the ranch unless I fell in line . " lol

  • two quotes that seem to fit

[Read the article: When Rudy met Hillary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

it seems of late politics has turned into dirt throwing to avoid any real dialogue. I don't know about the rest of you , but I think Clinton has handled herself well concidering the amount of dirt thrown at her specifically. From both sides.

The more that is thrown at her proves the desperation and lack of debate.

“When a man points a finger at someone else, he should remember that four of his fingers are pointing at himself.”

    Louis Nizer

“Noise proves nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg cackles as if she had laid an asteroid.”

    Mark Twain

  • the crazy leading the blind

[Read the article: Ron Paul is a baby elephant]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Ron Paul does have some good points ! But he doesn't seem to have both paddles in the water.

What's missing ? long term thinking. effectual thinking. Just like Bush didn't think ( or care) about the effects of illegally invading Iraq , Paul doesn't seem to be able to concider the long term effects of his delusions. and neither do the blind following.

  • no singing yet

[Read the article: Why is Clinton struggling? Insert answer here]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There isn't any singing yet for anyone. Hell, Edwards just may pull away at the last minute. That would really treat the bloated Obama and Clinton harsh.

Clinton is stuggling as much as the rest are.

The fact is that those whose minds are made up aren't going to change and those who haven't made up thier minds won't until the day of the election. Everyone knows this.

So going by polls overall alone Clinton would seem to have it , but it's for the numbers that aren't being seen and won't be until the final vote that matters and no one knows who they are for. n

    No one.

Beware of Clinton campaign staffers sock-puppeting on liberal blogs and press

    http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2007/12/13/nh_blog_unmasks_a_campaign_in.html

Thanks to another Salon poster for bringing this to my attention.

I suspected as much, but couldn't be sure.

    -- gezelligtexas "

same could be said of Obama as well.
