  • Fool's Gold

Barack is leading not because he is black (are you people brain dead) but because he is brilliant and inspiring.

So many women are projecting THEIR prejudices on this campaign. Oh, they're being mean to Hillary. Oh they ask her the first question. Or as Bill says, they're ganging up on a girl.

But when women obsess about women, they are being prejudiced in the same way they claim men are sexist.

    -- PoliticalRealist

What Bill says is true...that is how Hillary won in 2000 in New York. Women do not cotton to men beating up on them. It is a fact. Obama's skin color is irrelevant...he is a MAN.

On your alleged claim of Obama's brilliance and alleged inspiration: like many an Obamabot, you have fallen for fool's gold. To use another appropiate cliche, all that glitters is not gold...Obama may certainly glitter (superficially), but he sure as hell ain't gold...

On the obsessive claim: who's obsessing? Could it be YOU?

    In terms of readiness,

I'm ready for a black woman president, but I am NOT prepared to put another Clinton in the whitehouse. It's time for new talent and new ideas, not Hillary and Bill, four more years.

What a tiresome mantra I have heard from people...boring and unoriginal...

Sexist attacks on Hillary might have some origin in workaday chauvinism, but quite often those attacks have been prompted by Hillary's biggest minus with voters: who she is.

By your logic, then because she is a bitch, that is why she is getting attacked...brilliant...the reasoning powers of Obamabots is astounding, and exactly why he will lose.

  • More Illiogical Surmises...

The poll and the post are stupid and baiting

BLACK people don't run for president. WOMEN don't run for president. Individuals run for president, who happen to be black or female. As other's have said the poll is impossible to conduct with out it reflecting how people feel about Obama and Hillary. If Obama were a white woman, and Hillary a black man, you'd see different results.

    Amazingly naive...

  • The mindless Obamabot

I understand that this is an opinion piece, I don't expect objectivity, but the lack of honesty or cogent reasoning is insulting.

    -- Geoff Randall

Obamabots who claim to complain about honesty and cogent reasoning need to turn the mirror on themselves...nothing dishonest, only your claims of it being so.

  • Someone making sense for a change...

...I wonder how many are just using support for Obama as a smokescreen to hide their fear of women. I always thought it spoke will of Bill Clinton, Obama, and Edwards that they were strong and confident enough to find strong, assertive, self-confident women. None of those women are meant for weaklings.

    -- Linda-english

I think you hit the nail on the head, Linda...the ones who unleash the most vitriol against Hillary are usually the ones who are most insecure about themselves...men DO have a problem with powerful women...it is just a fact.

  • Sexism disguised...

Not necessarily. Though I can't speak for a hypothetical person. But isn't it possible that people dislike her for reasons other than sexism?

That would be true when people talk about her policies in neutral terms...they dislike her stand A because she voted for B, etc. But Joan and others here are not referring to that...they are referring to that woman who said "how do we beat the bitch" at a McCain rally; how one constantly hears comments about her weight, her proportions, her face, her general appearance. This has nothing to do with anything EXCEPT sexism.

What is this shit? Clinton mentions Viet Nam in her war and peace opus of the Clinton century? You don't say? And what swiney pearls of wisdon did Clinton bring back from the Viet Nam experience? Iraq?

    -- manos99

And what did Dubyah bring? Obama? Bark up another tree with this idiotic rant...but what else can one expect from a Hillary basher...so boring and tedious are their comments.

  • Bad News

Penn will be, more than anyone else in Hillary's campaign, the man who lost her the race because of his brazen behavior...I say she should make him pay her back all the money she shelled out to him for making her look ridiculous on Colombia trade deal. I also am alarmed that Bush would threaten Congress with passing this bill quickly just as all this is coming the fore...something is rotten in the state of consultants...I have been a Hillary backer, but this really STINKS!

As I said before, wasting time on Obama when one could be wearing a T-shirt that makes him more foolish than seeing him in the gutter, I mean making gutter balls...
