  • Do not fear fear Barack.

[Read the article: What should Obama do about Rev. Jeremiah Wright?]

    Burning question?

What about Pentagon propaganda story? Watched considerable amount of 'cable land news' past few days and have not seen that story revealed, talked about or put in high 'topic' rotation?

Funny thing about Americans "right of free speech" is that when someone like Rev.J.Wright actually uses it we get from American political media outlets this flood of "How dare he say that!" or "Wright is a maniac for speaking like this and why does he hate America!?" or "That crazy old preacher needs to shut-up because I/we don't like what he has to say!".

Cable "news" outlets like CNN/MSNBC seem quite happy to bracket hours of 'Wright Outrage' TV screen time with the real game of making money selling airtime for commerce $$$.

The Pentagon Media Propaganda story? Not shown. Not heard.

Having seen Rev.Wright on Bill Moyers it was plain to see he is much more learned and intelligent then he had been/was/is portrayed by American MSM political media. Seems to have large swaths of human history to offer and tell about in erudite ways. He is even an ex-American Marine.

Freedom of speech and ability to marshall lots of history of the not well known or understood kind are quite potent when combined. Rev.Wright surely must seem quite the agitator and troublemaker in early 21st century America.

Americans like a good myth and we surely have many of them we cherish and polish that make us feel "good" about how we go in the world. A big myth that lies at heart of current American Debacle in Iraq is that we are always the "good guys" in places like Iraq. The facts, truths and real history do not support such thinking yet that is how it is set up and seen.

Americans such as Rev.Wright who pull back curtains and kick in doors on American myths are not seen as convenient or proper as is but when mixed into current ongoing American politics soon take on status not unlike that of atomic waste.

Dick Cheney can give Amercans the royal "So?" and soon enough that is forgotten or surely not talked about.

Democratic Party can run on 'Out of Iraq' politics during 2006 and then upon being voted up for doing so turn around and give Bush/Cheney regime "2007 surge" and seemingly suffer little shame in doing so.

Barack Obama seems to know one American, this Rev.Jeremiah Wright, who is bringing to the fore what may not be convenient at this moment in Baracks political career. Many Americans would prefer watching and chuckling over the antics of G.W.Bush,an American President who does WH softshoe or will direct the band for a kick. A guy who is very challenged in expressing ideas and thoughts or dealing in facts and truths. A guy who seems quite happy for having landed America in Iraq Debacle.

If G.W.Bush The Jester and his lies and law breaking were getting just half the attention that Rev.J.Wright is getting these days that surely would be useful and refreshing.

Freedom of speech is Rev.J.Wrights right. His background as an American Marine, his scholarship/academic record and depth of history view make him as qualified as anyone to have something to say and say it in America today.

Freedom of speech means getting to say what others may not like or agree with.

Barack Obama needs to underline that. What is he waiting for?

So Barack -- why run away Rev.Wright? He is doing what Americans are told is our right to do. The Republicans serve up William Kristol,Richard Cheney,John Hagee and John Bolton just for appetizers in America today. Barack -- you can endure and survive Rev.Wright

What should Obama do about Rev.Jeremiah Wright?

Tell Americans that they are seeing and hearing what is called freedom of thought and speech. Tell Americans that while he may not agree with all that Rev.Wright is saying he will fully defend Wrights right to say it.

A truly great American once said and it still is true today as it ever was. That truly great American was FDR and he said something about fearing fear.

    Do not fear fear Barack.
