McCain Stumbles, Bush2WH Desires, ME Shadow Dances and DC Misdirection

[Read more letters about this article: Here]John McCain has taken on the aura of becoming time worn and in large part now passed by early 21st American current events and politics. It is plain to see the senator from AZ is now a captive of past spotlighted political activity and notoriety. His current bid to take hold as a presidential GOP candidate for the 2008 election season increasingly appears doomed to a short-fall in range and arc of flight.
Juan Cole ably lays open the McCain foray into Baghdad in early April for the nonsensical farce it was and has become in American media circus rings. It is painfully clear to see the senator from AZ is having some major self-delusion moments these days that are overtaking his presidential bid like a pack of hounds on a freshly scented trail. Attempts to outrun or turn into the hounds both unlikely to succeed.
The GOP now has the Bush2WH record from early 2001 onward to contend with. That record only now after six years heading into the seventh year having some serious congressional red and yellow lights being sequenced into the rampant green lighting of the GOP's recent years of Congress/WH one-party run WashDC state of affairs. Any GOP attempts at retaining the keys to 1600 PA.Ave. after 2008 must account for the multitude of known,partially now known or still to be uncovered Bush2WH ways,means and errors. That list is growing longer and longer these days. As if the Bush2WH needed more help with the flame-out it is in over it's Iraq War/Occupation Debacle. John McCain seems to have stumbled with his hopelessly disconnected support for Bush2WH Iraq mess. The senator from AZ now in a dead heat with the "independent senator from CT" for most rabid fact and reality denial. It is not a pretty place to be.
Two entries from the Zmag.org/Znet site that shed greater light on the history of Bush2WH in this era of GWOT and on the mudpuddle politics of WashDC. An article under the April 10th entries titled ARC OF INSTABILITY by TOM ENGLEHARDT which when opened has full title SIX CRISES IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR. Then under the April 9th entries an article titled CONGRESSIONAL COMPLICITY by RICHARD W. BEHAN. The full title upon opening is FIRST IN THE WAR,THEN IN THE OIL GRAB. Two helpful articles in framing Bush2WH desires and in understanding current WashDC shadow dancing and misdirection.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]With the velocity and scope of Bush2WH oops! events on an ever upwards trendline it is becoming a genuine memory game keeping the scandals,omissions,evasions and law abusing/breaking acts in proper order of reveal,current status,coming status and who was caught lying or skirting the law.
Back there in early 2001,a long time ago indeed for this now long in the tooth Bush2WH the Decider clearly stated HIS WH would be an exemplar of proper conduct,legal decorum and ethical prowness. The dig being that the W.J.Clinton WH was not that. G.W.Bush was going to preside over a better,cleaner WH where the consequences of error would be met with a firm hand and a WH exit. K.Rove in particular seems to be in full exemption to this. As does D.Cheney. Evidently A.Gonzales now too.This growing list of exceptions reveals the hollowness of G.W.Bush on principle and integrity. The Iraq War/Occupation the full and complete compilation of unprincipled policy form up and dice and slice logic lines that inform G.W.Bush and infect this Bush2WH.
Late Jan.2009 seems these days a long ways off for this WH and G.W.Bush surely is headed for the Grant,Harding and Nixon level of American Presidents Dantian Hell.
