What's Wrong With the Post Office and DMV?

I was at the Post Office yesterday and it took me about seven minutes to buy stamps. I could have bought them out of a machine in the lobby in less time but I wanted more colorful stamps for non-business related mailing.

I renewed my license last year and it took me 20 minutes from the time I parked my car to the time I returned to it, new license in hand.

They need to stop relying on the hackneyed references of yore. But hackneyed references, rigid idealism and platitudes now define the Republican party, and from what I can see, they're just fine with that.
