I am curious to know ...

what Sec. Reich shinks about a national sales tax replacing our current tax structure.? I think it would help our manufacturing sector by making U.S. goods less expensive oversees and imports more expensive here.

Thursday, October 25, 2007 12:55 PM

Come on....

if it was done in the inquisition it must be OK. They were working for God.

Friday, October 26, 2007 07:36 AM

Is this the same....

Oklahoma politician that accused the weather channel of using scare tactics to get people to watch?

Friday, October 26, 2007 12:47 PM

Actually...

were the ones getting tortured by him running for president.

Original article: How long can this go on?

I was raised catholic too.

but I never bought the bit about a just war. Turning the other cheek and being a soldure do not mix.

Original article: Abject stupidity defined

Glenn...

Don't become distracted by this or spend much time on it. Continue doing what you have been doing. Try to remember that most of the right wing will attack you no matter what you do. The things they say may be true on not, that is not relavant to them. Think about the dems in congress. They will painted as weak on defence. They have given the president everything he has asked for but they will still be called soft on terror during election time. Stay focused on what your doing.

Original article: No promotion for FEMA faker

It seems to me....

that this guy was just taking existing administration policies to their logical conclusion.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 08:42 AM

Actually this makes sence...

The leadership in the democratic party preferse not being in charge, that way when the capitulate on every major issue they can truthfully claim there was nothing they could do.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 09:36 AM

-- writebite

It is funny you should say that because his adminastration clearly does't keep a histoty book anywhere in the white house.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 11:48 AM

"He is of course planing both, acting on the orders of freemasons and templars."

Well done Glenn!

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 01:09 PM

They are doing something...

changes to FHA ans FLEX guidelines will make it easier for people to keep their homes. From what I have heard the problem countrywide has is that they are holding a lot of pay option ARMS, these are in many cases loans that are too big to refinance under fannie/freddie guidelines and seem a little more riskey.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007 07:59 AM

No offence Walter

but what happened to the "while you were watching X" articles about the debates.

Did any one else notice that on one of the issues Sen Clinton answered the question "Blah, blah, blah for a commission to study the issue blah, blah blah so as you can see I have a clear policy."

That is not a policy, sometimes that is what you have to do but it is not really a policy.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007 08:45 AM

When we bomb Iran...

Clintons vote on the Kyl/Lieberman ammendment will come back to haunt her in the general election, because the white houses' line will be "of course the point of theat ammendment was to give us the authority to bomb them".

Thursday, November 1, 2007 07:45 AM
Original article: Boys against girl?

Pointed queations?

Those were not pointed questions. The comintaters were trying to get people to attack Clinton.

Thursday, November 1, 2007 10:41 AM

I wonder....

if at any point the administratin will figure aout that people don't trust them anymore, and that we base our distust purely on their actions.

Nah.

Thursday, November 1, 2007 01:23 PM
Original article: Beware the Google

Maybe he has a point.

Moveon and code pink are both made up of Americans, Bush dosen't listen to Americans and he is the most powerful man in the world. It is good, sound advice.

Monday, November 5, 2007 07:46 AM

Where have all the cold warriors gone?

Didn't we face down the soviet union for 50 years, the whole time pointing the finger at them for doing the things we are doing today?

Monday, November 5, 2007 10:02 AM
Original article: Conyers moves on contempt

Conyers should

drag all this out, and not give Bush a chance to pardon these people. I wonder how many administration officals will be investigated abter Bush is gone.

Monday, November 5, 2007 10:32 AM

How bizarre....

that any one would vote for someone other than the canidate they like the most. I don't care if my candidate may not win, or definatly wont, I vote for who I like and cant really understand the reason behind doing otherwise.

Monday, November 5, 2007 12:49 PM

They are a terrorist orginazation....

so they don't get Geniva protections. Any Iranian we capture could be a "suspected" member and therefore a "suspected" terrorist. Why do we suspect them? Can't tell you that, national security and all.

What this ammendment really does (besides allow us to bomb Iran) is nulify the Geniva conventions in a comming war.

-- Mark Williams

It's kinda scarry to some of us too.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007 08:43 AM

"No -- not about Mormons. I mean about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. Did we ever get that one settled?"

As it turnes out it depends on what dance is being done. As samba, only two. A waltz, eight and whole lot if that pinhead is being used as a mosh pit.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007 12:08 PM
Original article: Iraq taught us nothing

I wonder if....

the white house thinks we could attack in just an air campaign, or if they want to send in ground troops. An air campaign without ground support is guaranteed to fail, but that doesn't mean they wont try it.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007 02:13 PM

I love the way...

Virtually every opponent of libertarian political thinking says the same thing "No government", as in libertarian want no government at all. That would mean no roads, no currency, no police etc. That doesn't make any sense at all. Libertarians want less government not no government.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007 02:46 PM

I don't think Ron Paul wants to outlaw abortion

I think he wants to send it to the states to decide on a state by state basis.

Wednesday, November 7, 2007 08:01 AM

Andrew

You really should do an article on option mortgages. Most of them have not reset yet. I work in the mortgage industry and I keep talking to people that have these and are now, too late figuring out how they work. A lot of these people, mainly middle and upper income earners are going to see their mortgage payments double in one month and they can't afford it.

Wednesday, November 7, 2007 09:33 AM

They probably see...

an end to the days when lots of people identify as conservatives and buy their books. They need to get their money now because soon there wont be any more.

Wednesday, November 7, 2007 12:10 PM
Original article: He's No. 1!

So what are the numbers for congress.

I bet there not too different.

Friday, November 9, 2007 11:58 AM

I don't know if anyone else has brought this up but...

Why did the senate bother to ask any questions? This guy claimed that the president can in some cases ignore the congress and he would not say that waterboarding is torture. What king of answeres would he have had to give not to be confirmed?

Friday, November 9, 2007 01:34 PM
Original article: Worst. President. Ever.

"It's hard to imagine what sort of President Bush might have been without 9/11. "

The one term sort?

Friday, November 9, 2007 01:50 PM
Original article: Divorce: Tool of the devil?

I guess he dosent realize ...

that in the past when societies with a middleclass couldn't get divorced, people just left. They were still "married" but they were not together.

Monday, November 12, 2007 10:52 AM

"M*A*S*H's Frank Burns was the prototypical neocon"

Sorry but I have to disagree. Frank Burns had a uniform and lived in a war zone.
