I think the issue is that because we revealed that we had the tape when we did, it let al queda know that we were accessing their network. We had the tape before it became public, which means we took it from them. The can now figure out how we got it and make sure we can't access their network in the same way.

That is exactly my point. There are bigger issues to loose on (Nancy Pelosi can count votes so she must have known this was comming), but on the really important stuff they just talk tough and capitulate. The point of the resolution in question was not just to give the president the power to attack Iran. By naming the revolutinary guard a terrorist orginization we can call them enemy combatints. That means we don't have to follow the geneiva conventions. But it gets better. We can call any captured Iranian a "suspected" terrorist. Why do we suspect them? Well that question can'y be answered due to national security conserns. In fact, I bet we have some of them right now, but because they are enemy combatints our government doesn't even have to tell anyone because the Geniva conventions do not apply.
