  • Socialism

[Read the article: Is Rush Limbaugh right?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The funny thing is if this passes all the people that are benefitting from cheap labor will have this whole thing turned on their heads. The demonstrations have been on May day, a traditional communist holliday, I see large unions and higher taxes in our countries future.

As for those of you that don't want to be called racist, try to remember there is no other arguement that can be made. You cannot argue that 12 million people that ignore the laws put in place by an elected government will make good citizens of a democracy.

  • Turn the tables

[Read the article: Attacks on civilians, torture and lawless detentions]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It would be very interesting to see what percentageof Americans would be in favor of violen attacks in defense of their own religion.

  • Car burning as a sport

[Read the article: Attacks on civilians, torture and lawless detentions]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Car burning as a sport occurs everycouple of years in this country, usually after a team wins come kind of championship.

As for Americans not engageing in violent civil wars over religion, look at Bleeding Kansas and Breechers Bibles

  • Wilkipedia

[Read the article: Attacks on civilians, torture and lawless detentions]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Lets try not to use Wilkipedia as a source, the information is not nesecarally correct (neither is my spelling)

  • Conservapedia.

[Read the article: Attacks on civilians, torture and lawless detentions]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I've never seen an "encyclopedia" with a "daily bible verse" befor.

  • Democracy

[Read the article: Attacks on civilians, torture and lawless detentions]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

My mother always said that in a democracy the people get the government they deserve. What does it this say about us (the american people) that this guy got re-elected.

  • Biden

[Read the article: Could Joe Biden please shut up again?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Joe Biden is the only politician that has come up with a plan to deal with the Iraq situation. Republicans want to continue a failed strategy, and the demorcats are following a policy that would lead to so much trouble in the middle east that we will end up going back in 10 years. Biden is the only person in Washington that is actually trying to solve the problem. What's the matter with you people, we invade a stable, soverign nation and now we need to deal with the consiquences.

  • Dentistry

[Read the article: America is not Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

-- PoliticalRealityOnline actually, some kid did die a few weeks ago from an infection from an absessed tooth.

  • Debate

[Read the article: Ron Paul is blowing up real good]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Someone on here had a great idea, so I am going to run with it. Salon should host a web broadcasted debate live, between Paul and Kusinich (sp?). The would probably love the exposure and they could actually discuss issues and their philosophys. An actual discussion would make all the other candidated look...inadequate.

  • First step

[Read the article: The U.S. Senate says the Internet is very dangerous]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Now that they have established that people involved in something unregulated by washington is dangerous, they can wait a little while and then "do something about the problem".

  • Bombs Away!!!!

[Read the article: Lieberman: I could "definitely" support a Republican in 2008]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I truly beleive this administrations will drop at least a few bombs on Iran berofe George Bush leaves office; I think that they can convince themselves that airpower alone can do the job, reguardless of what millitary planners tell them.

  • Sane or insane

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

At this point I would consider the insane version of Perot in improvement.

  • who cost who?

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Maybe Gore cost Nader the election.

  • Dead on

[Read the article: Don't run, Al. Don't!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Democrats showed in 2000 and 2004 that they have an ammazing ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and already their doing it again. They betrayed their base with the Iraqi war funding bill, and now they are already assumeing that the 08 race is "in the bag". If I were a Republican nothing would make me happier than for my oppisition to assume it won 18 months before the election.

  • Machiavellian

[Read the article: Bush's European disaster]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Someone commentd earlier that Bush was Machiavellian, I have to disagree. Machiavelli would have sucedded in he things he attempted.

  • I think I figured it out

[Read the article: More warnings about a U.S.-Iran war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What Realname was trying to say is that it is about damn time we settled our score with Holland, they have had this comming.

  • Nothing lasts forever

[Read the article: Where have all the e-mails gone?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

While it is true old Emails don't just "dissapear", they can be written over. If the server uses the space they are stored on for something else they are gone, if you don't beleive me just ask your IT people.

  • Pixie Dust

[Read the article: What the Democrats would do about Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Actually I have heard that the magic pixie dust manufactures are making big donations ti Kucinich.

  • Legalize

[Read the article: What Ted Stevens, Bolivian cocaine and Halliburton have in common]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There is no possible way that legalized drugs would destroy as many lives as our "war on drugs".

  • Xenophobe

[Read the article: Lou Dobbs' secret plot to destroy the GOP]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The reason people accuse Mr. Dobbs of xenophobia and racism, is that they have no other argument to make. How can you say that 12 million people that ignored our immigration laws, laws put into place by elected representatives, would make good citizens of our demorcracy.

  • SB

[Read the article: Lou Dobbs' secret plot to destroy the GOP]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Actually, no if china stole California, oregon and Washington, I would be OK with it as long as they took Texas too.

  • David Buckly

[Read the article: A tragic legacy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A lot of constitutions in Eastern Europe and South America mirror ours, maybe not word for word, but the basics are the same.

  • Extremists

[Read the article: Spinning the disaster in Gaza]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This was a fight between an extremest group Hamas a slightly less extreme but still extreme group Fatah and the winner will want to fight Isreal. Who cares.

  • Jeff

[Read the article: "Fringe liberal bloggers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am with you 100%, especially on the L word. I do not understand how the democrats became the more fiscally responsible party and the GOP is now the party of big government.

  • Healthy sceptic

[Read the article: "Fringe liberal bloggers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Politics are the art of compromise. One "wins" in politics by putting forth the most appealing and reasonable sounding proposal, balancing idealism with pragmatism, and then passing it. And then, if all goes well and as promised, taking the next step.

    -- healthyskeptic

Try getting a job where you do negoations for a while and see how well your kind of negoation stratagy works, you wont eat well. Both sides start far apart and after some give and take get to a point they can both live with.

  • I personally think it is better to lose than sell out principles

[Read the article: "Fringe liberal bloggers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This reminds me of a ststement I heard once "I would rather be right than president", I am trying to remember who said that but then I realized he didn't win, never had a big impact and dosent matter. (For those of you who are wondering he was the candidate for a single issue party in favor of prohibition).

  • Fred Thompson

[Read the article: "Fringe liberal bloggers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

His poll numbers are only good because he has not entered the race, as soon as he he does all the elephants will pounce, for the moment he is safe, noone wants to be seen as someone that will attack a person not even in the race.
