  • Mean-spirited

[Read the article: The emperor's new peace plan]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"It feels mean-spirited and cynical to abandon all hope"

It feels that way because it is. Bush haters would rather see peace in Palestine fail, peace in Iraq fail, Iran develop nuclear weapons, etc.. than admit Bush has done anything right or successful. There's plenty of criticism to aim at this administration, but hoping for failure because you hate the man...is evil.

  • They Hang Gays, Don't They?

[Read the article: Bringing Iran in from the cold]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If that's not mad, I don't know what is.

  • "the most tragic era in American history"

    [Read the article: TV Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

More tragic than the civil war? Vietnam? Seriously, Bush hatred is fine, but have some perspective.

  • The Democrats' Bill

[Read the article: The fuel on the hill]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

References to Bush in the article and in comments are great, but wasn't this a Democratic bill pushed by the Democratic leadership?

  • fair treatment

[Read the article: Tale of a teenage terrorist]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He's being treated fairly by his own people. It's nice to see Iraqis rounding up these people on their own.

  • Bush Plan or Pakistan Plan

[Read the article: With Bhutto gone, does Bush have a Plan B?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The very same people that in one breath complain that we send aid to Pakistan and Musharif now ask what are plan is to deal with this crisis? Which is it, meddle or don't meddle? Which do you prefer?

  • Not a threat?

[Read the article: The U.S. military inflicts more damage on its own credibility]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"You really have to be a kool-aid drinker to entertain the idea that five Iranian speedboats could credibly threaten a US Navy warship."

And yet it was only ONE speedboat that killed scores of sailors on the USS Cole.

  • It didn't start with Bush

[Read the article: Number of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How convenient that the study leaves out all of the statements from Democrats:

  • even better

[Read the article: Number of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Here's more lies coming from leading Democrats prior to the war.

  • And now the paranoia

[Read the article: Number of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"I just can't wait for the day in February, 2009, when Democrats in congress 'postpones' hearings on why Bush will not vacate the WH and why Cheney is being guraded by a team from Blackwater instead of the Secret Service."

And when they DOESN'T happen, will you please realize how paranoid you and your kind (I'd bet you're a Ron Paul supporter) are? ...and seek medical help. Seriously, in 2009, when Bush leaves office peacefully, I hope you'll seek attention for your derangement.

  • Selected!

[Read the article: The GOP attack plan for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    ...not elected!

I can't wait to use that mantra.

  • Profiling

[Read the article: Is Briana Waters a terrorist?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Briana Waters wouldn't seem to fit the profile of a dangerous terrorist. "

Just what IS the profile of a dangerous terrorist?

The woman is a co-conspirator, a look-out for arsonists. She deserves what she gets.

  • Nuclear is the only answer

[Read the article: Peak oil? Consider it solved]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

We would already be out of this hole if environmentalists had let us develop more nuclear power. It's coming regardless. When oil is $500 a barrel, we'll see nuclear plants popping up all over the country.

  • "A record number of Americans receiving food stamps."

[Read the article: The Great Depression: The sequel]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As a percentage of the population, it is lower now than 3 years during the Clinton administration, 1993, 1994 and 1995.

  • Leaves out la Cabana?

[Read the article: Soderbergh's spectacular "Che"-volution]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What's the point of a movie about Che that leaves out his command and oversight of the executions at la Cabana?

  • What did they leave out?

[Read the article: The ugliest election]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Except they leave out the part where Gore lawyers high-fived each other after getting military ballots thrown out. There's another side of the story yet to be told. This movie is hardly a definitive account.

  • What you weren't allowed to see in this movie

[Read the article: The ugliest election]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"A full 19 hours after it began, the nightmarish battle over Duval´s military ballots came to an end. When the canvassing board announced that the ballots of 149 soldiers, sailors and airmen had been disqualified, a pair of jubilant Gore lawyers actually exchanged high-fives for their victory against America’s service personnel.

"A Republican, visibly shaken by this sight, demanded to know how they could celebrate the disenfranchisement of U.S. military personnel risking their lives around the world. One of the Gore lawyers glibly replied: ‘A win´s a win.’"

  • potato juice?

[Read the article: Dancing with the New Tsars]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Stoli is made with wheat and rye grains.

  • About his service

[Read the article: The self-aware Bill Kristol]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I've often wanted to comment about my city's skyrocketing murder rate but because I didn't serve in the police department, I keep quiet. Fires? Can't talk about them because I didn't serve in the Fire department. I couldn't even complain about my cold lunch the other day because I've never been a line cook in a diner...
