2010?

An election year? I wouldn't bet on it. I mean, I'm all for repealing it, but don't count on it happening soon.

Creeping subsidism increased under Obama

8,000 tax credit for rich first time homebuyers?

4,000 tax credit for rich people to turn in their cadillacs for hybrids?

6,000 tax credit for people to buy electric golf carts? Yep, I'm sure those people are needy as well. Creeping subsidism has INCREASED under Obama. And most of those benefiting are upper middle class and rich folk. Thanks Obama.

The IAEA confirms that latency technology already exists, just not the fuel

...hence the need to STOP ENRICHMENT. Which is the goal of talks. Don't take it from me, take it from the IAEA, which knows more about this than Juan Cole.

Juan conveniently leaves out that Iran has ALREADY attacked Israel

...through the proxies it supports, Hamas & Hezbollah. Trained and armed by Iran.

So the Democrat who called protesters "brown shirts"

...gets a free pass? Calling old pensioners a mob, organized by insurance companies? Please... So when the Unions start showing up after Sweeney's orders, what should they be called?

You are, and always have been, a hypocrite, Joan Walsh.

And this might be why we haven't been attacked

Bush deserves SOME credit for keeping us safe. I know you all can't bring yourself to admit it but we HAVE NOT been attacked since 9/11 and Obama is continuing many of the programs and procedures that you fools find so abhorrent. So yes, thankfully Obama was elected....and not some national security-weak democrat like Pelosi, et al.

Thursday, July 9, 2009 06:57 AM

Joan!

...just let it go.

Original article: Night of the living neocons

So Daily Kos is neocon?

...cause it's not only the neocons who are criticizing Obama's lack of support for the demonstrators.

Could we have prevented the army recruiter shootings?

Oh, wait. That's not allowed in Salon. Can't discuss it. Would upset their worldview.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 09:23 AM

Obama should be impeached

...for rewarding Halliburton contracts and bombing civilians in Pakistan. Oh, wait. He's a Democrat, so...it's ok. Never mind.

Problem is, this will include many Democrats

Clinton's rendition and extreme interogation procedures will also have to be under review. Congress' approval of this techniques during briefings will also have to be under scrutiny. It isn't all Bush. If you want to open this Pandora's box, many, many folks are going to go down. And for what? Spite? I seem to remember an expression often used at the end of Clinton's term. "Move On".

Obama spends more than Bush

"the $7 trillion in his proposal is less, aides say, than what the debt would be under current policies put in place by George W. Bush."

Nope. Flat out wrong.

Obama: The Surge "succeeded beyond our wildest dreams."

Is Obama lying too?

Less than in the general population

Every death is tragic, but there's nothing unique to the military here. In fact, there's less suicide in the military population as a percentage when compared to suicide in the general population. So stop the hysteria.

This is Obama's fault.

Why don't we just buy the damn opium? It would be cheaper than running all these operations against drug lords.

Original article: Blowing away King Coal

Wind energy will never supplant coal

It must be part of a mix, including nuclear energy. Coal's going to be around for a long time, thanks to the opposition to nuclear plants in the 70's.

Obama kills innocent children

We now know that 3 children lost their lives in this attack because of Obama's orders. I expect outrage around here. Where is it?

Security officials said the strikes, which saw up to five missiles slam into houses in separate villages, killed seven "foreigners" - a term that usually means al-Qaeda - but locals also said that three children lost their lives.

The Europeans are going to hate us. Obama is as bad as Israel. What happened? I thought my vote was a vote for peace? Was I so naive? Help me!!!!

Friday, January 23, 2009 11:36 AM

But this can't be!

Dana Priest says the War on Terror is over. Why would Obama bomb Pakistan?? I don't understand. I thought he was against all the BushHitler killing.

Why does Salon continue to rely on Juan Cole's bad scholarship?

Bush's

...fault.

Monday, December 8, 2008 06:41 AM

But first...

...you have to assume that Bush is going to voluntarily leave office. I've read hundreds of comments on Daily Kos, Democratic Underground and even here at Salon that Bush and Cheney were going to use force to stay in power. After the inauguration, I hope those fools come back and admit they were duped.

Watch it for Igal Naor and Shohreh Aghdashloo

They are worth the price of admission alone.

The contrast between the sane brother and the insane brother is also interesting. I watched it on BBC and thought it was a great soap opera, even though I knew most of the history already.

Wednesday, December 3, 2008 08:02 AM

Gov. Bush is still popular even if his brother is not

Governor Bush was actually a very effective and well-liked governor despite some of the commenters who seek to link him to his brother's failures. He would win a landslide in Florida, much like Saxby Chambliss did last night in GA.

Bush's fault

The attacks are Bush's fault. Aren't they?

Thursday, November 20, 2008 06:40 AM

Clinton's pardons?

I suspect Bush will pardon fewer crooks than Clinton. Did Feingold write such a column before the end of Clinton's term?

Hypocrites.
