Hillary actually served in combat in Viet Nam
[Read the article: The GOP attack plan for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]From the Clinton Campaign:
Although Hillary "misspoke" on three occasions about being under sniper fire in Bosnia, she wanted voters to know that she dressed as a man so she could serve in combat in Viet Nam. Serving as "H. Rodham", Hillary was awarded 4 Purple Hearts, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Medal of Honor. By her own estimate, she believes she saved thousands of lives while in combat.
This clearly shows she has experience other than being the wife of Bill Clinton and is not, as detractors say, that she was only elected as Senator from New York by riding his coattails.
If anyone has video tape showing a different story than her combat experience, the tape has been doctored.
Hillary has continued to send the message that her fellow democrat is not fit to serve as President, not because she is out to win at any costs, but because she believes only Hillary Clinton should be President. She is a woman, after all, and its now her turn.
Besides, Bill can't wait to get back to the White House, With no duties to distract him, he can fully enjoy his retirement.
Note: The above, in case you are too dumb to get it, is a satire of Hillary Clintons lie about being under sniper fire in Bosnia.

One Problem
[Read the article: "Great American Hypocrites: Toppling the Big Myths of Republican Politics"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Glenn
I agree completely with your thesis, but there's one problem: A democrat is currently using the same methods.
Georgia W. Bush pretended he was some sort of hero by showing photos of himself in uniform (although the used the national guard to avoid going to Viet Nam).
Hillary lied on 3 occasions about sniper fire to pretend she was this brave person who would put her life at risk for America. The fact that the footage shows this was all a big lie, should be the end of her campaign. But she and her surrogates now say she "misspoke" Is misspoke the new word for lie. NOBODY, regardless of fatigue, lack of sleep, etc. would be confused about sniper fire. This was the same deceitful personality lies of the Republicans.
So why hasn't Salon had a major article on this? Why is it outrageous when a Republican does something like this and no big deal when a democrat does it? Isn't this the same blindness that we criticize the Republicans for?

Salon continues to amaze
[Read the article: Would you vote for a smoker?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I guess Salon will do ANYTHING to avoid the real issues.
Namely that the Editor can't get over her Sister Hood with Hillary.
I'm still waiting on a comprehensive article about how Hillary lied about Sniper fire.
Salon says: "I doubt she lied".... Jesus... NOBODY could misremember, or "misspoke" about getting shot at for God's sake.
Hillary lied to make her self look more "Commander-in-Chiefness".
When is Salon going to come clean and call her on this?
Instead you write about whether Obama has a smoke during the campaign?
This is disgraceful.

Joan- I won't be renewing
[Read the article: Would you vote for a smoker?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Salon, you USED to be an amazing web magazine.
But just as this campaign revealed who the Clintons really are (I voted for Bill twice), this campaign has revealed Joan's bias towards her "sister".
I would have NEVER believed Salon would pretend to be unbiased while really supporting Hillary. The early articles were so biased it was hard to believe.
Now they are more vague.
But Salon STILL tries to cover for Hillary's sniper fire. This is an important issue. Lying about braving gunfire is a serious issue. It means you will lie about anything to win.
So, it will be goodbye Salon. You used to be great.

Why People Hate Hillary
[Read the article: Randi Rhodes calls Hillary Clinton a whore]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I voted for Bill, twice. My feeling is he saved the country. I thought Hilary was pleasant, intelligent, a good first lady.
But this campaign has revealed what the Republicans always said: the Clintons would do ANYTHING to win.
It is still a mystery how Hillary could claim to be under sniper fire and the media (especially Salon) treats this as a minor issue.
To put this in context, imagine Salon's response if Geo W. Bush had claimed he was under sniper fire while visiting a country for his father. Salon would have skewered Bush as a lier.
But Hillary "misspoke". Joan says "I don't believe Hillary lied" This is a classic case of "mindset" Joan loves her "sister" so she filters out the obvious.
Who could possibly get confused about bullets coming at you? Was sniper fire so commons that Hillary got her dates confused?
This is an obvious lie and a very serious lie.
Salon should be ashamed to have let this passed.

Joan You're Hillary Obsession is Showing
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]One of the things about this campaign that is troubling is that so many women can't see past... well being a woman.
Hillary is a plodding, bland campaigner. Is there a reason so many woman are blind to this?
Barack is leading not because he is black (are you people brain dead) but because he is brilliant and inspiring.
So many women are projecting THEIR prejudices on this campaign. Oh, they're being mean to Hillary. Oh they ask her the first question. Or as Bill says, they're ganging up on a girl.
The idea that this is true is laughable. Hillary had every advantage possible and she's being beat by a junior Senator with a funny name.
Joan, if you could somehow think of these people as humans instead of men and women, you might actually be a good editor.
But when women obsess about women, they are being prejudiced in the same way they claim men are sexist.

Salon Just Can't Help It
[Read the article: Why Hillary Clinton should be winning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Salon is SO committed to Hillary - Well, HIllary IS a woman, right Joan. So lets keep changing the rules until Hillary can win.
As Bill says, they keep picking on a girl. Fire up the feminists, hey Bill.
Or as Joan says, Hillary couldn't have lied about sniper fire.
The rules are put in place. The Clintons agree to them. They can't win under those rules...
so lets change the rules.
Salon, you have become disgusting.
