  • IN and NC are going to end this thing

[Read the article: Whose fault is the Clinton-Obama stalemate?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

No one, not a single person expected Obama to beat Clinton in PA. A month ago, he said the strategy was to not get beaten by the 20+ points she was ahead by.

So why is it now such a surprise he didn't win PA?

She beat him by less than 10% in a state tailored made for her.

When the primaries are over, Democrats will come home the same way Republicans came back to John McCain. Remember when Limbaugh said he'd never vote for McCain?

A big deal is made about Obama not winning CA NY etc.

Didn't Huckabee win Georgia, Tennesse, and Alabama. I guess that means McCain Won't carry those states in the general according to that logic.

Clinton won PA with a lot of institutional support from the Governor and Mayors. In the general, Obama will have that support.

Most of the working class dems would come back to the fold. Those that don't could be overcome by new voters, independents, and disaffected Republicans.

One of the overlooked aspects of the exit polling was the high amount of white working class voters who don't plan to vote Democrat in the general regardless of who the nominee is. These folks seem to be voting for Clinton simply to keep the race going.

The Clintons have never won the white vote. Not in 92 nor in 96. Bill won with overwhelming support from african-americans.

If black voters get the sense that this nomination was stolen, I don't expect to see those same numbers going to Mrs. Clinton.

You people who see a McCain landslide over Obama are deluding yourself if you think that Mrs. Clinton can come close to winning without 90% of the black vote. And there's no way in hell she'll get even close to that number.

I would also ask the same of Obama supporters when it comes to calling Mrs. Clinton names. In fact, I object to the notion that Mrs. Clinton cares nothing of the Democratic party and is in it to destroy Obama's chances.

I've been a supporter of Senator Obama since he first ran for the Senate. But I've also voted for President Clinton twice and would have gladly voted for her this time had Barack not run.

Being from Illinois and having the opportunity to have met the man before he "became famous" I supported his candidacy from day one.

It breaks my heart to see the party going through this; and unfortunately I've been guilty of throwing a few fire bombs myself.

There will always be folks on this board on either side who will throw bombs. I wish that the majority of we good Democrats could refrain from the vitriol and ignore the occasional troll.

Neither campaign has clean hands when it comes to negativity. This circular firing squad of claiming victimhood should stop.

It's one thing to get into a heated debate, but sexist and racist smears go across the line.

I honestly have nothing but love for the Clintons. I just prefer Barack. If he isn't the nominee, I'll campaign and vote for Hillary. If he loses in November and she runs again in 2012, I'll support her (unless someone better runs against her ;-) )

The Democratic party is growing at such a rate it has Republicans pissing their pants. They may lose two safe seats in Missi-freakin-sippi for Christ sakes!! If we can manage to keep our shit together, it going to be a real bloodbath for Republicans come November and we can drive a stake in Rovian politics once and for all.

  • For the life of me, I can't understand Clinton supporters bringing up 60's era activists.

I know, I know the Weather Underground is terrorist organization. That's why Bill Clinton pardoned Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans who were convicted of transporting 740 pounds of explosives, which they admitted were to be used in bombings. And unlike Mr. Ayers, Ms. Rosenberg's crimes actually involved the murder of a security Brinks guard, and two police officers.

Ms. Rosenberg has never renounced "collective violence".

In fact, in 1993 she describes it as "the necessity for armed self-defense in the pursuit of revolutionary anti-imperialist resistance."

So the Clintons and their supporters try to slime Senator Obama with the same pig shit they themselves wallow in.

President Clinton, who took shots in '92 for protesting against the Vietnam War while overseas; these Clintons are leading the inquisition.

And to top it all off, the ridiculous article katetex links to is written by this nutjob Larry Sinclair.

Larry Sinclair the proven liar, bipolar welfare recipient who's said he did drugs with Barack Obama and then performed oral sex on him.

That's the paragon of virtue for Katetex?

Larry Sinclair, the guy who's former address was a mental hospital who failed a lie detector test on his allegations; this is your truth?

This reminds me of the nuts who think Hillary killed Vince Foster.

If you believe this guy, you truly are a moron.

  • Clinton's pardons wpould be an issue in the general election

They've never really had to account for them in an election.

Oh, sure Hillary ran in New York. But these issues never came up.

I can see the McCain ad now:

"Hillary Clinton counts her years as Frist Lady, FIRST LADY, as experience to run the country. OK. She says she'll be tough on terrorists. If she's so tough on terrorists, why was her and her husband's administration pardoning convicted terrorists in the midnight hours at the end of his term of office?" blah blah blah.
