Wha wha wha
[Read the article: A "free ride" for Obama and Edwards?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Remember the old saying, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
The Clinton's strategy has always been at its core: be on the front page at all times no matter how, but its like hearing the same joke over and over now. Its old, and they're making first class fools of themselves. Its gotten to the point where I cringe whenever I see either of them.
This will end up a textbook example of how not to run a campaign. She's not just going to lose the nomination, she's going to lose any ounce of crediblity she had. I still think at some point, sooner rather than later, the Democratic Party will give the Clintons a boot in the ass. They know its a lost cause and I really believe they're just out to cause as much damage as possible.

What the?!
[Read the article: Obama: "I am still fired up and ready to go"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think the most alarming thing is the reason many people switched to Clinton:she cried and Bill got mad. She may have won NH, but there is definitely no feeling of excitement that followed the Iowa caucus. Hillary clinton is more of the same who would be going up against a more of the same Republican (and I think she'd lose to any of them).

I think he bled votes away from Obama
[Read the article: Where would Clinton be without Edwards?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think that will continue and could make a difference in close contests. He could end up the Ralph Nader of the primaries. I also wonder if some independats switch from Obama to McCain at the last minute. They may have figured Obama was headed towards a big win and they could toss their vote to McCain to damage Romney.
I was leaning towards Edwards, but he's gotten kind of shrill. He's too adversarial. He's moving too far into Howard Beal territory. I would hate to see him stay in the race simply to play spoiler.

[Read the article: Does race explain the polling disconnect?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I agree. In a weak field of Republicans Clinton is the most vulnerable. Its only been a week since the Iowa caucus and I'm sick to death of the Clintons already. If Hillary Clinton is the nominee it will supress the new younger voters that would turn out for Obama, it would dampen some Democratic voters tired of "more of the same" and most importtantly it would ecompletely energize the Republicans.
"Race." Unfortunately it will definitely be an issue. Especially with older voters. I don't think it will be in the form of white voters deluding pollsters, though, it will be out there. This morning at work I was talking about the primary with two older women from another department. Both made very unpleasant comments about Obama and "those people." I just hurried away. Believe me, it will be out there, and we'll see it.

Irony
[Read the article: Obama co-chairman: Clinton didn't cry for Katrina]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She "cries" and gets the Oprah vote.
I'm still mystified that a stunt like that would work. If she cried when talking about the poor or the soldiers maimed and killed in Iraq or the people in New Orleans still without homes or the average Americans who have lost thier savings in corporate scandals or thier homes in the mortgage crisis...no she cried because things weren't going her way. Immature, self-indulgant AND certainly not presidential.

really
[Read the article: Edwards on Kerry: Don't stop thinking about tomorrow]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It was a very nice endorsement from Kerry and a classy response from Edwards. That's it.

It's just an amazingly stupid thing for Clinton to say on the way to a state with so many black voters.
[Read the article: An endorsement that might matter]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But who really benefits from a bunch of angry black people? Hillary Clinton. Oh sure she might lose a measure of black support , but in the general election where would they throw their vote? Throw a few subtle racial rmarks around and let the blacks get "uppity" about it...sure way to scare enough white Obama supporters clinton's way. I'm guessing that's their strategy.
I can't be the only one who's noticed that since the Iowa caucus there has been almost no discussion or news in the media about issues or where candidates stand. Its been wall to wall CLINTON nonsence. That's how the clintons work. Good or bad, just make sure the headline is ALWAYS Clinton.

"making me wonder if she isn't playing an elaborate political game"
[Read the article: More about race and the Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The clintons ARE playing a political game. Its called "scare whitey" As long as race is in the headlines with insulted black politicians and angry black voters the clintons will benefit. It creates that subtle innuendo: see what will happen? He;ll get elected and we'll all be goin' down to the river to sing some negro spirituals. The more the clintons play victim and protest the longer race stays the headline. She's playing the gender card for herself and she;s playing the race card against Obama.
This could, and probably will work for her. It could make race an issue for enough white voters to tip the scale firmly in her favor, but...if African Americans believe she race-baited her way into the nomination they could sit the election out in large numbers or even vote Republican. The Democratic party better be very carefull with what they're will to let the clintons get away with for their own personal gain.

I think we're seeing a glimpse of the Clinton strategy.
[Read the article: More about race and the Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, earlier I called it "scare whitey."
I think the Clintons will be responsible for allowing the Republicans to hold the White House and retake the Senate. If this is their strategy she won't get the traditional Democratic support from African Americans. Younger voters will sit it out, independants and more than a few Democrats will be totally disgusted and the Republicans will energized to the tenth degree.
Anyone wondering what a Clinton, Redux adminstration will be like? This is just a taste. Unfortunately, Bill and Hillary have already damaged Obama. He'll be useless after this.
She won't win in November and whats left of the Democratic party will be left in tatters. The Democratic leadership better step in a figure a way to cut the clinton cancer out.
