Attack or just not letting her get away with her meaningless double talk? I defy anyone who watched that debate to tell me what her position was on any issue addressed.
Dodd and Biden were the clear winners. Both gave intelligent, well-thought out answers to anything they were asked. Too bad so much attention was once again lavished on Clinton (who seems more dodgy and dishonest by the day) and Obama (who would be a stretch for highschool class president).
My hope is that both Clinton and Obama have peaked too early.
That sounds like something the Wizard pulled out of his bag of junk at the end of the Wizard of Oz.
Besides cash a hefty paycheck at the tax payers' expence, do we really know what she did?
What does he believe? I only see him holding out his hands saying, "We can do better." Well I can say that, too, except no one is shoveling tens of millions of dollars in my direction. He's all fluff. Its almost painfull to watch him explain his experience and qualifications for the presidency. Obama looked completely in over his head last night. Clinton is dodgy and dishonest, Obama is an empty suit. Both would be very vulnerable in the general election. I think its time to cut them both lose. Hopefully Iowa will have a suprise or two in store.
I'm impressed with Dodd and biden. I like Edwards as well, and I think he could win in the general election.
You should do yourself a favor and listen to him. He impressed me last night, and he's impressed me with his actions in the Senate.
As far as the other candidates attacking poor defensless Hillarly Clinton. At least they took issue with her murky, rubbery positions to her face. Her MO is sending out insulting, snide attacks through her campaign staff.
My suggestion is that you listen to Hillary Clinton. If you did you'd hear a whole lot of meaningless double talk.
Last night chris dodd and Joe Biden were like breaths of fresh air with clear, consise, well thought out and intelligent answers. Hillary? Just another bought and paid for smirking politcal weasle.
Ultimately, she came across as dodgy weasle who couldn't give a straight answer to save her life.
Maybe at the next debate her husband can show up and tell those guys to back off.
Ok, thats the REAL problem. Its cheap if she's trying to send her people out to whine about the bully boys being mean to the girl, but...
she did anything but "stand strong and made her case on critical issues". She dodged and weaved and double spoke her way through EVERY question. Iran, Iraq, Social Security. I defy anyone to tell me where she stands on any of those issues based on her responces in that debate. If she didn't completely dodged the question then she made no sence. She's not trying to have it both ways, she's trying to have it everyway imaginable. I was no fan of her husband, and I'm no fan of her's.
I find it disturbing that so many of her supporters seem so gleefull about her tactics. Its back to that cult of personality that got us into the George Bush mess we're in now.
I'm angrier than I can put into words. I'm agry over the last 7 years. I'm angry that in this most profoundly important election it appears we're being force fed Clinton, Redux.
"Perhaps it's hard for penis-wearers to see, but much of what passes for "criciticism" of Senator Clinton is sexist attacks. You know, exactly the kind of thing that would put the country in an uproar if they were said about blacks, et al."
What a rediculous statement! Not once, not one word in that debate was aimed at or made reference to Sen. clinton's gender as an issue or liability. She was strongly challenged on the core dishonesty of her public statements and positions. And yes, talking out of both sides of your mouth is dishonest.
She has skated by on celebrity thus far, and when, finally, confronted she retreats to the most cowardly tactic. She won't get my vote in the primary or general election. I didn't like the clintons in the 90's, and I don't like them now.
After the debate I made contributions to the campaigns of Dodd, Biden and Edwards. My contribbutions were not in any influenced by the presence of a penis. They were based on the clear, well thought out, intelligent answers each gave.
Perhaps if Sen. Clinton decides to actually address the issues and present her positions in an open, honest and straightforward manner I could make a judgement on her ability to lead the nation in this most trying of times. I don't expect that to happen.
If Judge Mukasey satisfies senators' concerns by stating that waterboarding is torture and its use is unacceptable would the President withdraw his name from nomination?
