"I will support a fillibuster against ANY bill that has retroactive immunity in it,
[Read the article: Chris Dodd's leadership vs. Clinton and Obama's game playing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and I will vote NO on any bill reaching the Senate floor that includes retroactive immunity."
That's the statement both of those coroprate whores should have made. Clear, to the point, strong, supports the oppinion of the majority of Americans. Why would that have been so hard. Biden had no problem. I really think effort and resources should be put into candidates who might actually make a difference, not into candidates that represent the core problems this nation faces. Maybe ABC and Viacom and GE are satisfied with Clinton and Obama's statements, but we shouldn't be.

re: What would King do?
[Read the article: Pam Spaulding for Glenn Greenwald: Obama zapped by the third rail of black homophobia]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well Coretta Scott King was very clear on the issue. Pehaps Obama should look there for inspiration. Obama knew exactly who he was crawling in bed with when he joined this little gospel circus. His mealy mouthed responce is just another dodge. He wants it both ways.
Remember who advised John Kerry to make high profile public appearances denouncing same sex marriage in the final weeks of the the 2004 campaign: the One and Only Bill Clinton. It is a true measure of Kerry's character that he listened to Clinton and then told his people "I would never do that." My guess is that BOTH Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama will turn their backs on gays to court the toxic Christian right (as though they'd ever get their votes, black or white).

al-Qaida ate my homework
[Read the article: Quick, somebody bomb Iran!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Angry god=al-Qaida"
Jesus probably looked alot like Osama. I know any conservative christian would tell you that Jesus most defintely looked like Jeffrey Hunter, but you know he really looked like "you know who."

Interesting
[Read the article: The growing link between the U.S. military and right-wing media and blogs]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Its been clear for awhile that the military as an establishment runs hand in hand with right wing media and, for that matter, the Republican Party. What I find interesting is the amount of military personel (including many generals and commanders) who are strongly opposed to the currently policies and actions that have damaged the military and the nation. How long before we see a revolt? Who ever is linking the military with hard right media propoganda is obviously not in sync with the real world as seen by many (even highly ranked) military people.

the ex-parrot of Bushist mendacity
[Read the article: Chris Floyd for Glenn Greenwald: Blair and Bush team up to sell new war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Please don't reffer to Tony Blair as Bush's "parrot." I have two macaws and I can tell you, they put more thought into their speech, express their own opinions and have a much higher sence of morality than Tony Blair could ever hope for. Its an insult to parrots. Call Blair what he is: shill or ass-licker.

Iran
[Read the article: Is Hillary running away with the race?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clinton's vote to give the President authority to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization could cost her the nomination. Talk coming from the Admistration is becoming more frightening by the day, and the last thing the American people can stomach is another disastrous, financially crippling and immoral war (while that other one is still grinding on). Clinton stepped into the same pile of shit as she did in 2002. She hasn't admitted her mistake of five years ago, and she's defensive about this vote as well. We've suffered through nearly two terms of a "war President" who has brought this country to the brink of ruin. People don't want a continuation of that.

I hope I speak for a growing number:
[Read the article: Clinton goes after Obama on Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I will NOT vote for Clinton in the primaries or the general election (should she receive the nomination) largely due to her vote last month in favor of Kyl-Lieberman. This nation can not morally, financially or internationally afford another disastrous war (while that other one is still grinding on and on). Attacking Iran would not be a disaster, it would be a catastrophe. Russia and China as well as European countries and Canada have relations with Iran. A belligerent attack by the US would be deadly for us.
Sen. Clinton has never acknowledged the error of her vote in 2002. She is equally defensive of her Kyl-Lieberman vote. This country has suffered through nearly two terms of a "war President" that has nearly destroyed the nation. We can't afford more of the same...which is what Sen. Clinton would offer. Its time to take whatever steps are necccessary to derail her media fueled march to the nomination.

[Read the article: Clinton goes after Obama on Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You're not talking to a Bill Clinton fan. Yes, he was light years better than Bush, but he did alot I didn't like, and personally, I felt he was a disgrace. I'm not any fonder of his wife. She has not said one thing that would complell me to vote for her, and her Iran vote sealed the deal. No way will she get my vote.
I think this country can do better than the Clintons and the Bushes. Time to move on.

It sound
[Read the article: A bizarre, unsolicited e-mail from Gen. Petraeus' spokesman ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]verging on threatening.

It really is kind of sad.
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Does anyone besides the KoolAid drinkers take Fox News seriously anymore? The sad part is this constant self-justification they contort themselves into.
To Fox News: You're conservative hacks. You're shills for the Republican party. You're playing to a mean-spirited, bitter core audience with little regard for facts. Admit it and go about your business. You won't lose any advertising dollars.

[Read the article: Report: Obama says no to Clinton-Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was thinking the same thing as well...especially after his appearance on Bill Maher's show this week.
