Do you have a problem with people who mix God up with their normal healthy vanilla sex?

I find that very creey as well, but I tend to find most religious stuff pretty creepy.

I think alot of people are getting hung up on the "spanking" and alternative sexual practices aspect. I don't care about that. I ceased to find all that S&M stuff strange or shocking years ago. What is disturbing is promoting the concept of the all powerful husband and the slavish wife as ordained by God. My guess is that website is probably a spoof, but very religious people are extremely gullible. How many right wing christian women would see that website and feel that way of life was their duty?

The concept of two people exploring their personal, concentual sexuality in a safe and responsible fashion is great, but the concept of a husband having the divine right to "punish" his wife for scorching a pot is not.

Bush is driven by so much more and so much less than that--ideology

I'm sorry, but I don't buy that at all. that gives him too much credit for some sort of twisted moral compass. If he was truly there on a crusade things would have been handled much differently. The Iraq war has been kept on a constant simmer since Sadaam's statue toppled. All this is is a steady stream of money. Too many people, too well connected have been fattening themselves off of the Iraq war like foie gras geese.

I put Cheney in the same trash can with Bush. I don't buy for a second the purity of the neocon's intentions. There's too much money at the root of their new world vision.

The ideology, the religious vision...that reels in the gullible right wing voters.

Only those seeking to profit would attach themselves so slavishly to the Bush bandwagon.

Profit. Isn't that the reason the bandwagon headed off to Iraq?

Just imagine

if he got nailed blowing an al-Qaida guy in the airport restroom!

I just don't get these creepy old Republicans. Why troll public bathrooms and bird-dog pages? Jeff Gannon is available and that Mike Ford guy was really hot. Ok, so they'd have to shell out a few bucks...alright, Gannon is fat now and Ford can't keep his mouth shut, but DC is litterly crawling with male escorts. I think they're needs could be more demurly met going that route.

Leave Sen. Craig alone inside his cozy little closet, gang!

I'd be more than happyy to leave him (them) alone in that cowardly, depressing little closet. BUT he (and so many other conservatives who have been caught tasting the forbidden fruit) actively work to harm the lives of gay people.

He's a creepy, hypocrite and deserves nothing but scorn.

from the police report

“At 1216 hours, Craig tapped his right foot. I recognized this as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. Craig tapped his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot. I moved my foot up and down slowly."

Damn that's an elaborate courtship going on in those public restrooms. If I decided to go that route, I'd wear tap shoes and really make my intentions clear.

I hope we're not intended to pity these guys because they're trapped in the cruel and bigoted Republican party. They can leave and live their lives to their fullest content anyttime they want.

They're self-loathing destructive monsters. I have no pity for them whenthey get caught.

this is why I cringe...

...when ever I hear liberal or Democratic candidates and politicians suck up to the "values" crowd. Everytime I hear one of them go all "Praise Jesus" or give one of those sanctamonious "why my faith is so darn important to me" comments I could puke.

The Republicans, Tony Perkins and the rest couldn't give a rat's ass about "values." They've demonized gays to a horrifying Nazi-esque to fleece the faithfull for cash and votes.

The Christian right has bullied its way to a disproportionate amount of attention and influence. The Democrats should try to reach the majority of fair-minded, decent Americans not the fringe of loud, snake-handeling, tongue-speaking, backwater Christians who have been allowed to set the national agenda.

Craig's career is over. What does he have to lose at this point? I hope he refuses to resign. I hope he tells the Republican leadership that he will resign only if Vitter resigns along with him.
