spare me

"These characters are not "gay". Gay is a culture, a great deal of which a great many homosexuals don't like. Homosexual is a behavior. People choose to be gay. They don't choose to be homosexual."

Please spare me. You suck dick just like the rest of us. Remember who to thank for your ability ot even see a movie like this: those scroungy drag queens who chased a group of bully NYC cops off the street back in 1969. It wasn't some he-man closet case cowboy.

terrorists

To be honest, I think if you want to talk about assaults on the Unite States and its constitution and freedoms we should really begin to consider the Republican Party as "terrorists."

Death Rattle

Religion formed as a way to explain the mysteries of the world. The Greeks and Roman advancement of philosophy began to relegate religion to superstiion. Christianity and Islam turned it into a controlling force.

Science, technology, medicine, advancement in culture has been battering at the power of religion for a long time now. Religion uses a set of fantastic absolutes that are not allowed to be questioned as its power over the great unwashed masses. Science and technology have shattered the foundation of religion.

We are living in a time of enormouse change. Science and technology can no longer live side by side with religion. Religious leaders and their robotic followers are terrified to see the curtain pulled back. Radical Islam and the radical Christian right are the death rattle of obsolete beliefs and philosophies. The following decades will be difficult as these outdated, corrupt and manipulative institutions gasp and die.

good for the goose

Is Rebecca Traister equally outraged by Men's Health non stop habit of featuring buff (frequently celebrities) semi naked on their covers. Closeted straight men seem to love it, god know us gay guys eat it up. This month its Jason Statham not long ago Ryan Reynolds, Eric Bana... Skin sells, get over it.

the question must be asked...

...wasn't Sadaam better than this?

In the wake of 9/11 even Arab countries expressed their outrage. Out of the horror of that event can a golden opportunity to bring differing cultures together for a common cause and greater understanding. The Bush/Cheney administration turned that opportunity into poison. Their policies and actions are responsible for the tragic and catastrophic state we're in now. We will be suffering the repercussions of this administration's actions for decades.

not going anywhere

Why would Dick Cheney be seen as a liability to George Bush's stay the course strategy in Iraq? After all, it's really Cheney's strategy. Every suspected from the outset that Dick cheney would be calling the shots in this administration, and now, day by day, the truth of that belief is becoming clearer and clearer. The vice President's abysmal approval ratings mean nothing to this crowd. Bush is a puppet. The real king will not abdicate the throne.

For Bush, a panic play - in Afganistan

Maybe he should have brought a turkey.

a moment to remember

Leave it to Jack Nicholson. The camera quickly cutting away from Jack after read the Best Picture winner and turned with a shocked "what the fuck?!" look on his face said it all.

In all honesty, Capote should have swept those awards on merit. Int was a truely incredible movie.

The ugly thruth is Hollywood is a much more unforginving closet than Brokeback Mountain. How many of those actors strolling in with a bejewelled and gowned wife/date on his arm is living that sad movie for real...a lot of them I would guess.

As to the CNN piece. If Brokeback Mountain's themes of the need for compassion and understanding and being true to oneself is out of touch with american values then let me be the first to say I'm proudly out of touch.

Santino you were wrong!

Chloe isn't just a brilliant pattern maker. She is a brilliant designer of really bad 80's prom dresses.

You got robbed Santino. Tim gunn knows how the true winner is. Listen to him.

The importnat thing

The President is being dishonest, and whatever is the public's perception of Iraq, they know he's being dishonest. Hopefully, the American people are moving closer to facing the fact and calling it like it is: the President is a liar.

Curious language, indeed!

It seems designed to give Jeff Gannon security clearance on a need by need basis.

War with Iran? Guess again

I think its mighty odd the Bush administration is suddenly willing to talk with Iran concerning Iraq. Don't be fooled. this is just a weasley way for Bush and his crowd to bow out of the no-win Iran/nuclear controversy. They hold a couple of meaningless talks with the Iranians and suddenly Iran will be a partner in the "War on Terror"...just like Pakistan.

Meanwhile Iraq will continue to fester and the mess will be left for whoever follows this idiot to clean up.

Rome

You know, there was a very good reason why Rome threw them to the lions.

tough cop

Was he playing "tough cop" went he went into hiding on 9/11? I think its time to start playing rough with this fool and his crowd. I think its time to remember He was hiding like a scared rabbit following the attacks on 9/11 and the entire Senate had to assemble on the the steps of the Capital to show the American people a face of bravery and reassurance while the Camander in Chief was in hiding.

Can you imagine Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton hiding on that morning (not to mention Kenedy, Roosevelt or Truman)?! Each one of those men would have made a spectacular appearance even if they had to walk out of the smoke from the fallen towers. George Bush is a gelding in cowboy boots. Its high time the Democrats stand up and call himout for what he is: a spoiled coward.
