Sorry. he's an empty suit, and he's as egotistical and schemeing as Hillary Clinton. Neither demonstrated an ounce of leadership in their cowardly and transparent actions (or lack of) regarding the Iraq war funding bill. We don't need that. I wouldn't vote for either of them. Sorry folks.
Was he cheating on his wife or Jesus? Did Jesus give him the Beatrice Straight speech from Network?
...he should rent himself a nice little apartment there if things are going so great. He can shop in the markets, and keep an eye on the "progress" right along.
In other words...don't come back.
Do they show the goods?
Personally, I refuse to believe that 40% of american believe in this nonsence.
The silver lining of this is that the Creation Museum will be such an object of ridicule that it will do its cause much more harm than good. Once the curiosity seekers have seen it. its only customers (suckers) will be the Kool-Aid drinkers going over and over.
The reasonable, the intelligent should use this to their advantage. Make it the laughing stock it deserves to be.
Is that addressed in the museum?
Someday, someone who finds themself woefully unprepared to succeed on a level with the best and the brightest will sue their lunatic parents for homeschooling them and retarding their chances for a success on a level that requires a sound education and understanding of science, culture and history.
Not all of these kids will grow up to be Christain kooks, and the ones who don't will feel mighty cheated.
We may not have to put the genie back in the bottle. It may die like the aliens in War of the World.
Years ago when "conservative" became cool with the rise of Limbaugh and such, people found it entertaining and alarming. Its gotten progressively mean-spirited, threatening and sophocating over the years. The country is a mess, a profound mess, because the right has been able to ride rough-shod.
I think people are getting weary of it. Its negative and destructive, and its morally exhausting. Limabaugh, Hannity and Coulter are still shrieking away, but who's getting the attention now? Jon Stewart, Colbert, Bill Maher...we're seeing a shift.
George Bush has been such a complete failure and disaster that a repeat won't be attractive to many people by the time he slinks away.
...untill that monstrosity lies in rubble.
But of course, they hate us because we love freedom...not because we build a fortress city in their backyard so we can let our big oil company conronies control their natural resources. That would NEVER be a reason they hate...its the love of freedom thing.
The sick fact is, though, George Bush would receive overwhelming support from military personel and their families if he could run for re-election again in 2008.
Come September we'll be told to wait another 6 months for a re-assessment of the situation, and things will surely be better then. All the President will ask is our patience (again) for 6 months.
Complain all you want about this incompetant and criminal adminstration, but at least they're as reliable as clockwork. I'm far more upset with the weasely, ineffectual Democrats who refused to stare this fool down.
When asked about Sgt. Pepper on its 25th anniversry Lou Reed said, "Its nothing. I was singing Heroin in 1966. Its absolutely nothing, nothing with molassess on top."
I love Lou.
Democrats can't whine when turn out is low in 2008. And there's any question as to why voters are so apethetic?
That vote may very well put another Republican in the White House, and a Republican majority back in congress. If that happens the Democrats can't bitch and moan about the media or Karl Rove...they'll need to look in the mirror.
How many times to we have to see members of congress wring their hands and fret over the ever worsening situation in Iraq only to have members of BOTH parties bow down and give George Bush everything he wants to continue this disaster.
Hey thay had their chance a few weeks ago to over ride his veto, and begin to set in motion and end to this mess. They didn't...it wasn't even an issue of debate for them. As soon as they all stop taking money from the greedy assholes who are making a fortune off this war is when we'll see some action. But that aint gonna happen.
Hmmm...didn't we give Osama a hand when he had his little tiff with the Russians? That worked out really well for us. Imagine training a whole army.
I'm not sure his statement (as quoted here) was ment in a negative way. Everyone involved with this administration seem barely to beable to contain their glee whenever they talk about Iraq. Look at George Bush whenever he takls about it. No matter how grave or how contrite his purpose (rarely) is he always has that smirk right below the surface. they're loving every moment of this.
Five real movie?! Hell they'd love it to be a tv series like Gunsmoke that went on for decades.
Once (if) we leave Iraq the cash faucet gets shut off. No matter how bad it gets there the cash will continue to flow.
the part Christianity played in the rotting of Rome.
...would be the same as debating on the Jerry Springer Show. Its a debate not a fucking circus. Fox News just waanted to turn it into a big show for their own partisan purposes. Fox News is real news as much as Jerry Spring is a real discussion.
I'm glad the Democrats gave them the finger.
