"a gender-bender circuit party"

Anyone whoever has been to a circuit party knows very well there ain't alot of "gender-bending" going on. I 300 the Spartans were definitely the "circuit bois."

Apparently Mr. Matt has an active profile running on Manhunt that he still logs onto...and not for escort business, just plain old man on man sex.

This geek is like Gannon. they've both made a cottage industry out of being self-loathing gays. Read Gannon's take on this whole thing. Its homophobic rant that ends with him lamenting that no one understands how hard it is to be a gay conservative christian. Boo Hoo.

If he's not gay...

...then why was he still cruising for sex on Manhunt just over a week ago? Looking for "Under 30, be ready to fuck" on a gay hookup site doesn't jibe very well with his declaration "Absolutely NOT" when he's asked if he's gay while on his sleazy press junket.

As far as Gerry Stubbs goes. When his problems with a 17 year old page are mentioned I really think its only proper to also mention Rep. Dan Crane, a Rebublican, who was censured along side Stubbs for having sex with a 17 year old female page. Somehow that little detail is always left out by conservatives who want to use Gerry Stubbs as the poster boy for immorality.

Chuck Schumer has already drawn the outlines of the first two questions that ought to be asked of him

I wonder if he's a better liar than Scooter?

Nita...you beat me to it

This is like putting froasting on a styrofoam cake. Its meaningless. They're hedging their bets with this one. It addresses the anti-war sentiment in the country while supporting "stay the course"...just in case.

T.Rextacy

Yes, how T.Rex has been ignored is a mystery to me...should have been inducted long ago.

"Believe what you want, but don't discriminate against those who disagree with you." Or, in simpler terms, "stay the hell out of other people's bedrooms and so will I."

I would have had much more repsect for her and Obama if either had said just that.

John Edwards and consistently been upfront, honest and forthcoming on just about everything that has been thrown his way. My question is, why are Democrats so hell-bent on supporting two self-serving dodgy, slick politcal hacks over someone who actually addresses issues with real answers and conviction?

Original article: No subpoena for Rove -- yet

If this thing grows...

...I wonder how long Republicans can continue to profide flak for Rove. He's filthy with dirty tricks, he was up to his neck in the Plame situation and now this. Sooner or later, and I have a feeling it will be sooner, they'll have to turn on him. If Libby isn't pardoned we may see something ugly happen there.

I think we're finally getting to the point where rove and Co. are palying strictly to their wacky fanatical conservative base. Exhaustion is setting in with their tired old act.

Original article: Can anyone tell the truth?

"homosexuality is immoral" and "I chopped off Daniel Pearl's head"

Isn't it odd immediately before the dam on the US prosecuter story broke wide open we have Gen. Pace spouting his opinions on gays and the cobwebbed-covered revelation that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed murdered Daniel Pearl? Nothing grabs headlines and stirs passions like some good old fashioned gay bashing and a healthy dose of evil Islamic bloodshed. Keep in mind, Pace is one of Bush's bitches and the Administration uses terrorism information and intelligence like an all-in-one tool.

This time their diversion tactics didn't work. Does anyone care what Gen. Pace believes about morality when he's up to his neck in the immorality that is Iraq and trotting out old news about Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was just sad. In all honesty, it just shines harsh spotlight on the desperation of this criminal administration.

She testified today...

...that she had no involvement in sending her husband to Niger. She wouldn't have had the authority to do so if she wanted to.

I think that should pretty much put that to rest.

Rummy, Brownie, Al...

I'm picturing them in a scene like the famous painting of the dogs playing poker.

I wish her well

She seems like a wonderful woman, and she would serve the nation well as First Lady. I wish her well, and hope the best for her.

Nuance

Remember how John Kerry was villified for using that "nancy-est" of words, nuance? Well Al Gore just gave Inhofe a wonderful lesson in nuance. How much do you want to bet that breakfast will never happen? Gore, in effect, said, "You're an asshole, shut up." ...in a very nuanced way of course. But Inhofe did indeed shut up.

Obama has plenty of time to solidify a plan and the rhetorical chops to articulate that plan more clearly.

I think a person should have a solid direction on issues BEFORE they run for president. Obama is shifty and dodgy. I don't like him.

I applaud the Edwards' decision to stay in the race. I wish them both well personally and professionally. Mrs. Edwards does not seem the type to surrender easily. No doubt her days ahead will be difficult, but that she's got the strength and resolve to work on is inspiring

Sadly, I have to agree with Anonymous

This is truly a despicable story and an profound shame for this nation (especially in light of Dick Cheney's idiotic comments ...AGAIN... this weekend accusing the Congress of not supporting the troops.

I recall during the 2004 election seeing members of the military and their families ridiculing and villifying John Kerry. Sadly, I honestly believe if George Bush could run again in '08 promising more of the same he'd recieve overwhelming support from military voters.

This is not the first story of contemptuous treatment of the troops by this adminstration since the Iraq war began. But everytime I read of servicemen and their families exposing such treatment they never blame the Bush administration or the enabling Republican party. Well you voted for them, you support them...don't whine to Salon, hold them accountable.

"Truth and illusion George. You don't know the difference."

That great line from Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe

This entire administration is manufactured and founded on lies, distortions, imaginings and misinformation. I doubt it possible, or even matters, if any of them tell the truth or lie.
