"I'm at a loss as to how to stop this hydra and look for suggestions."

Time will deal with her. Anne Coulter has a shelf life and its not very long. Remember Dr. Laura? Someday Dr. Laura and Anne Coulter will be doing a dinner theater revival of Chicago in some god-foresaken backwater town. in the middle of nowhere.

Ten years ago Rush Limbaugh was constantly quoted and discussed in major news media. The only mainstream attention he's gotten lately was his drug problem. He still has an audience, but he's largely on the sideline.

They all come and go. You can only peddle trash for so long before people notice the stink and turn away.

Anne, Andrew Dice Clay is keeping the light on for you.

what happens tomorrow?

Whenever the Joker gets hauled back to Arkham Asylum in a straightjacket the Penguin or Mr. Clayface or some other arch criminal starts causing trouble.

Good riddence to a monster, but he was a bit player in an enormous multi-faceted mess.

I don't get it

Can someone explain the fascination with Brittney Spears. She's not talented, she's not interesting or articulate or accomplished. she's not even all that attractive. She's dull, dim-witted boring white trash. I honestly don't know why she's not working at Walmart.

character

"Character matters", but what does that really mean. Conservatives and Republicans constantly speak of their "character." "Character" like "quality" is meaninless without an adjective. Sure George Bush, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and the rest of that motely crew have "character"...a very low character. They can say "character" all they want, but their actions and policies supply the adjectives they conveniently avoid.

Bush in Iraq

I hope he brought another plastic turkey.

personally speaking

A black mini cocktail dress is perfectly acceptable for...well a cocktail party, bar or some kind of social situation. Ann Coulter showing up in her "cocktail" outfits on tv news shows, etc...would be as inappropriate as Anderson Cooper doing his news program in a tight tank top. Being a woman isn't an excuse for tawdriness. Sorry, she's in bad taste all around.

Debate

People are wringing their hands over this like its a catastrophe. The Democrats aren't goose-stepping in unison!! Shouldn't there be a DEBATE? Shouldn't these elected officials be presenting and debating a range of options, ideas and theories? The Repubican's consistant "stay the course", "don't cut and run" pronouncemnts are just leading us further and further down a road to disaster. Personally, I want to hear a debate of ideas and solutions and then have the most reasonable and clearly thought out proposals move forward.

"Stay the course." "Don't cut and run." Those aren't even ideas. They're cynical concepts to intimidate and fear-monger the public into accepting an immoral and catastrphic venture that is doing untold damage to the country...and lining plenty of well-connected pockets (I'd love to know just how much Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheny will eventually reap personally from this).

The solution

Saddam isn't too busy these days. Give him his old job back, and let's get the hell out of there.

Original article: The GOP agenda

"Maybe it would be better to let those who fouled the nest clean it up."

I think they would simply continue to "clean up."

Unfortunately, a wide swath of the American public has become so mean-spirited, hateful and easily manipulated to indulge their most base and anti-social urges that the Repubicans can probably count on a few more days in the sun before they get thrown on the trash heap. Things will have to get worse (if you can imagine) before people begin to change their own outlook.

LIAR

Bush administration plans for a preelection troop withdrawal are one of the "worst-kept secrets in town."

Then call it on them NOW and hammer away at the venal, cynical game they're playing with our international reputation, our ecomony, our national safety and our troops. Someone has to stand up in the senate and call the president a LIAR, and they have to do it now...and call him a LIAR from now until the last pol closes in November.

Dr. Goebbels would be proud

This bunch is becoming more Nazi-like as the days go by. The most frightening part is, that like the Nazis, the public is swallowing it hook, line and sinker.

my guess

Even if he swallowed a whole bottle of Viagra he'd still barely manage 4 inches.

Pathetic, ugly, flabby, pill-popping, limp-dicked creep. He deserves every last bit of humiliation thrown at him.

I hope he brough plenty of cash. That's the only way he'd ever get laid.

Its the new black

Frankly, I don't care what Jesus did or didn't say about homosexuality, or what this or that book in the Old Testament says about it. I put the Bible in the fiction section where it belongs years ago.

Gay is the new black. These hate groups (and that's exactly what the christian right is, just like the KKK and white power groups) have found their new "niggers" and "kikes." Gays are the only group left to them with a year round open hunting season. It won't work. Gays have come a long way in terms of social exceptance, and that trend is progressing. The more these christian hate groups vomit their anti-gay poison the more average people will ultimately think, "hey, my brother (neighbor, classmate, co-worker, friend, doctor, teacher...) is gay."

Opposition to gay marriage has dropped alot in just a few years. When the issue of legalizing gay marriage first came to the forefront several years ago it was a shocking concept to mast people. Now people are gradually becomming more comfortable with it. The world did not end in Mass. or other countries where its become legal.

Science is constantly marching forward and is increasingly rendering these religions useless. Religion is, more and more, resorting to hate and fear mongering to appeal to humanities lowest common denominator as a desperate ploy to maintain some sort of control and power. Christianity is in its death rattle. We won't see it crash and burn in our life-time, but in the larger scheme of things, its days are, thankfully, numbered.
