  • The whole interview

Thank you Joan. I have been beating my head about why everyone is just listening to the quotes and they did not watch the whole interview. Also, there is an interview there with Hillary. I think they make great side by side comparisons.

The part that did get to me, was the "excesses of the 60's and 70s" and the battles of that period. Yes, Senator, we are still fighting those battles if you did not notice.

Frankly, I did not like the last part where he talks about his running mate: " oh, someone with economics background, someone with military" Gee, those are called cabinet posts. This is not co presidency. I don't like the delegator, and no folks, you may think its funny, but it does matter when he loses papers, the Osama memo from the FBI was a paper, the Abu Ghirab report was a paper. I want someone who will read this stuff, no rely on someone to do it for them and then say he did not know.

Joan thank you for the clarity.

  • The mythology of facts

The elusive fact. This is a campaign. Ms. Walsh did a damn good job to make a point by point comparison.

    Watch the videos.

  • White vote

[Read the article: Will whites vote for Barack Obama? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This white person will not vote for Obama because he is running for the Democratic party nomination and does not get it:

Brody: Will Hillary be a drag for down-ticket races as a presidential candidate?

Obama: I think there is no doubt that she has higher negatives than any of the remaining democratic candidates. That's just a fact and there are some who will not vote for her. If you look at the results in Nevada, for example, she eked out the popular vote victory over me, but I ended up winning more delegates because she got almost all of her votes from Clark County, Las Vegas and some of the traditional democratic areas. We got votes there, but we also got votes in northern Nevada and rural conservative regions of the state that traditionally don't vote Democratic, but were excited about my campaign.

I have no doubt that once the nomination contest is over, I will get the people who voted for her. Now the question is can she get the people who voted for me? And I think that describes sort of one of the choices that people have, just a practical choice, as they move forward."

This white person will not vote for Obama cause he plays Chicago bully politics and pretends to be an idealist. This white person does agree with Bill about Obama's anti war stance, great speeches, but it's the votes children--when it mattered he put the anti war folks out to dry. This white person will not vote for Obama cause I don't like false idols. This white person will not vote for Obama cause he did not give an ounce of thought to the people that lost their housing from Rezko's deals and further went to insult the projects failing to the neighborhood and poor people. This white person will not vote for Obama cause he did not stand up in the Senate to speak up against the Telecom amnesty when Dodd was doing the fillibuster. This white person will not vote for Obama cause frankly I think he is an opportunist and has created a dogmatic supporter who is blinded. This white persons sees a demagogue in the making. And I hate demagogues. And I don't need to show my bona fides to anyone about race. This white person does not want to treat a black politician with kid gloves when I find him distastefull cause some yuppie feels good about absolve of the fact that social, economic, racial and gender injustice is institutionalized in America and said yuppie profited from that injustice all their life. This white person will not be blackmailed by a rookie politician who is courting some imaginary indie voter.
