Original article: How the Democrats blew it

FALSE PREMISE!

"The Democrats' antiwar campaign has failed" This is a lie of the worst kind, because it assumes that you, the reader are stupid enough to believe that the democrats have an "antiwar campaign", which they don't. They want you to think that, if elected, they will end the war, which they won't. Have they ever done anything they have promised to do?

What was that 100 hour (or was it days or years) thing they crowed about? They have been consistently innefective, as they have always been, as they forever will be. Anyone that believes that the current batch of politicians on either side has the fortitude to do anything that is not focus group tested is a fool. The only ideas that pass the focus group are those that are so weak and general in nature that they do not anger anyone.

There is a strange caveat to this however. Clinton did things that angered the left and was seen as positive to the right, and Bush has done just the opposite - maddening.

We need a new mind to lead our country. We are in decline.

They get the job done.

And I swear to you that if you were over there, and they were protecting you, you would want them to do just that. They are doing their job, and doing it well.

Why blame them for the war? Blame the US government. Not George Bush, not Dick Cheny. The government. The whole thing. It is sick and rotten to the core.

I checked out the paintings

And I don't believe for a moment that a four year old painted them. As for modern art, I think that those that consider it high art are in the same category of people that could not tell the difference between "fine wine" and "Two Buck Chuck" or $200.00 a bottle vodka and Smirnoff. Deluded is too kind a word.

The way that many of you

capitalize Nature, Gaia, and "Mother Earth" tells me you must be quite a religious lot.

The real downside to much of the "environmentalism" that is in play these days, is that someone is making a lot of money off of it. How does that figure into your truth factor?

Where I live, I am involved in efforts to stop high density development in agrarian areas. When asked why I do this, many people expect me to give some speech about the intrinsic value of farm land (which is in itself a desecration of the forest), or forests, or unmodified natural areas (swamps, etc). What I tell them is "because I like it that way". I feel it is the only honest answer. When asked why I go about trying to control what other do with their property, I answer "because I can".

Al Gore is the antithesis of what I feel is good or moral or right about environmental activism. It is obvious why he does the things he does ($$), but he lies about his motives, as do many "environmentalists". I would bet that this is probably the single largest reason people despise them as much as they do.

Mr Mamiya

You are a sorry excuse for a parent. Your child will suffer because of you.

"I've been involved professionally and exclusively with sustainability since 2001, and am mostly still living off savings."

You want to know who is making the money off of environmentalism? How about the people that manufacture catalytic converters, you know, those things that turn auto emissions into "harmless carbon dioxide". Or how about the freon manufacturers. When the ozone hole was going to kill us all, we were all forced by political decree to buy a different kind of freon. $Billions were made by that one, and the third world countries never even made the switch. The list is endless, just as is the money being made.

You don't make money, because you are the mindless patsy that the aforementioned use to make their money. Get it now? So you're broke. Get used to it. But rest assured that Gore, et al are not, and never will be as long as there are people like you. He is the ant, you are his aphid.

Just seeing his bloated, distorted, vulgar

face is torture enough. If you can't see Edward Kennedy for the profound hypocrite he is, there is no hope for you. He is Pemphigus Vulgaris on the body politic, and absolutely shameless. He is a criminal from a family of criminals. The father bought political power for his sons through the ill gotten gain of bootleg liquor, and with it a false claim of legitimacy. He is a scoundrel and common. Only the perversion of justice keeps him in power. Grief and loss has never been far from that family, and it never will be. That is the price paid for dealing with the devil.

He is torturing those who vote for him with their consent.

Finally, someone got this right!

Wars are, without exception caused by the love of money. All of the other "causes" (religion, religion, and religion) are mere smoke screens.

Al Gore

is an attention starved opportunist. A charlatan, nothing more. If it had not been for Bill Clinton needing a doorstop, no one would even know his name. He is what used to be known as a pseudo intellectual, back in the day when you actually had to have credentials.

Yes! Let's do!

That is until Democrats start winning more. Then, let's keep it, because it is so righteous.

Avoided becoming a professional thief and liar.

We must spend money now!

Because if we don't, something baaad might happen! Sheesh, don't you people remember the 100 or so other things that were going to kill us all if we didn't spend some money on them?
