I suppose

If our president (any president) proclaimed himself dictator for life, gassed any segment of the population that opposed him, cut off the nads of the members of US sports teams that did not win, kidnapped and tortured thousands of our citizens, shot his political opponents en-masse, poured $billions from our natural resources into his personal accounts, built dozens of mansions for himself from national proceeds, hired his kids to be his right hand thugs, pissed off the world by being a danger to their energy supplies, and DARED anyone to do anything about it, I just might welcome some assistance in getting rid of him.

I am not saying that the above required or demanded us to go do what we did. I mean, if people are fearful enough to live under those conditions, I figure that's their problem. Brave people revolt, as we did. I also figure these people are too stupid to take advantage of the huge opportunity that they have been handed. That is the biggest shame. Let's not forget, there was a significant segment of the population that was begging for relief. Unfortunately, after they got it, their stupidity immediately kicked in again.

Pull your head out of your colon, Kieth. There are no pure politicians. In fact the vast majority of them, democrats or republicans, are only the shredded remains of our constitution away from being another saddam. If you think there is hope in some democrat, just because he is not a republican, I feel sorry for you. Do you really think politics were better in this country when Clinton was president? Clinton/Bush/politician. The three are synonymous. We live in an oligarchy. The people with the big money are not about to let some piss-ant politician screw up their money machine.

This is so

strikingly true that it borders on non-humor. I'm not saying it isn't funny. It is. What is so sad is that it makes a very real comparison to what is actually happening in the art world. I often wonder how many times "art critics" mistake a pile of rubble in the artist's studio for some creation of the artist.

Long live faux art! Or fart, as it is now called.

Is it just me

or does Hastert look like the bloated, heinous character that so many political cartoonists utilize to represent the generic politician? Is it just me, or are all politicians bloated, heinous characters? I think our politicians are the embodiment of evil. All of them.

Clinton was worse

All the crimes, thrice the vulgarity, not to mention a rapist. A horny redneck with carpet in the back of his pickup. Pure white trash that made it to the White House. His own staff called him the world's greatest liar. While in the presidency he "attended church", also making him the world's greatest hypocrite. Hillary is his equal, but trades a little viciousness for a little exhibitionism. He married an ugly woman because looks pale in comparison to finding someone as twisted and criminal as yourself. He is the perfect politician.

P.S. I am not a republican

If you want to blame Bush

for the Iraq war you better be prepared to also blame those who abdicated their responsibilities. Perhaps you have forgotten that the house, Democrats, Republicans and all, handed sole authority over to the president to start the Iraq war. Have you forgotten? It is all their faults. Is is downright humorous how so many Salon readers hate this man so much, that they are willing to give his criminal cohorts on both sides of the aisle a pass. Do you really think he has the ability to act on his own? No president ever has or ever will, but your blind hatred will keep you spouting grade school insults to make you feel better about the fact that you constantly vote for that thing which is equal to or worse than a republican; a democrat. How stupid of you to vote at all. You validate their existence by doing so.

If Lenin and Hitler were running for president, which one would you vote for? Lenin, of course, because he's the democrat. Or is it Hitler? No matter.

Sheeesh!

Some of you fear

the political motives of religious people.

"But to teach children that it is a fact that there is one god or that God created the world in six days, that is child abuse."

Looks to me like you have something to fear in the political motives of atheists. This would, of course eventually degenerate to "But to teach children anything other than what I say to teach them is child abuse."

You think Christians are scary? This guy's a monster. I wonder what his stand on eugenics is?

What does this guy know

He states "the GOP has reverted to blaming...". The proper useage is "reverted back to blaming".

Original article: Hillary is us

So, Salon is spinning for Hillary?

Making excuses for her politician behavior? How interesting. Salon is using the same rational that kept Marion Barry in office. "He may be a nefarious pig, but he's our nefarious pig". Hillary Clinton is certainly, absolutely not expressing some "transparent need to please". She is only doing what all politicians do: lie and pander to get/stay elected. Nothing noble, nothing honorable, and absolutely nothing naive. The only reason she does this, is because she knows she can, and she knows it works. Grow up Salon, and stop making excuses for vulgar politicians, even if they are "your politicians".
